TRIBES 2!!
it is going to be amazing. Tribes one was so much better than other fps becuase the other ones get boaring. CS has great gameplay and is addicting, but all my friends who played that tried tribes demo and said it was awsome. It takes some time to get used to, and a weeks to master. And once you are the best it is still fun...

why is it so good? JETPACKS, a new demension to fps. if you have gotten board w/ the running around in q3 or ut this is the game for you.

i think that tribes 2 comes out in March.

PS if you dont like games that involve teamwork- look somewhare else.
 
Well, Half-Life is my all-time favorite but it is years old.

My favourite of this year is American McGee'sAlice. I guess I am half-way through and the graphics and atmosphere are awesome. Gameplay is not that innovative but it is still extremely playable. Very addicting.

MDK2 would be my second choice - great graphics and humor.
 
i like unreal tournament a lot...still play it now
a little while ago i liked diablo II and this game called the sims (it was pretty fun)
 
madden 2001 is awesome if you like sports games, also try nhl 2001 and fifa 2001, i dunno about nba live yet, haven't tried it. Also Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament, Q3a, Deus Ex. NOLF is also good.

 
Deus Ex owned me for a while.
Counterstrike is fun, as long as you're on a good server

NOLF is interesting.. the training part reminded me so much of deus ex... graphics were just brighter. haven't played it tho.

 
Are there any sexy games which are decent? I don't mean necessarily hard X. But maybe a bit more than Laura Croft.

Here's where some of my votes lie:

Action - Giants, MDK2, Thief 2, NOLF, RUNE, FAKK2.

RPG - Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale.

Strategy - Sacrifice, Ground Control, Homeworld: Cataclysm.

Sim - The Sims, Zeus: Master of Olympus.

Others - Motocross Madness 2, Tony Hawk 2, Crimson Skies.

So many people LOVED Deus Ex, but I never got into the game. If you missed the end of 1999 as well, there are some great games you should go back and pick up as well.

 
Baldur's Gate II (and/or Icewind Dale), get ARCANUM (when it comes out), Deus Ex, Unreal Tournament, Neverwinter Nights (when it's released), Quake 3 Arena, (the list goes on...)
 
Diablo2 was BY FAR my most addicting gaming experience of the year. AND I made a few hundred dollars off of it to boot 🙂

My favorite games are those that keep me occupied for months on end... Massive-Multiplayer RPG's, like Ultima Online and Never Quest...
Even though both of these games blow monkey turds now, they are still my favorite type. I can't wait for the next "big hit" Massive-multiplayer RPG to come out.

Deus Ex ***** - If you haven't bought this game. DO IT! It is VERY cool 🙂 *hint* always keep a flame thrower handy! 😎

I can really say Deus Ex was the only Realy good game I've bought this year. A lot of games have been mentioned I haven't bought which I am going to check out now 😉

Diablo 2 *** - was "ok" at best. 640x480x256 colors was a SORE dissapointment! I thought for sure they could've done better than that. Also, it was too small. You just get tired doing the same game over and over and over and over....etc..

Games I though weren't so good to flat out Suct and would avoid at all cost!!! hehe

Hoe did you make a few hundred dollars off Diablo2? PLease tell me you didn't sell characters? ROFLMAO!

Any IDIOT that would "buy" a Diablo 2 character is a complete looser... then again, anyone who would buy ANY game characters are complete loosers.. 😛

I usually play games for a few days... but Counter-Strike has kept me hooked for almost a year now 😀
It is the best game out there for the money right now!

hey shu8, i dont think CS deserves it, cuz its been around for a long while except it only surfaced as a retail game as of late. as far as my pick goes, flame me all you want, my fire resistance is maxed out. Diablo2 is one of the best games i have played despite all those bugs still present and the lagalicious bnet 🙂
 
Mechwarrior 4. I didn't see a single vote for this game, so I'll vote for it. I haven't played Sacrifice or Deus X yet, so I can't opine on those... but I will say that MW4 multiplayer gets better every time I play it. If you like this genre, it's a pretty good game, and Microsofr *ack* seems to have done a much better job on the lag problem that was so big in MW3.
