Agreed. So a girl you hardly even knew cheated on you. Man up and move on and just be glad you dodged a bullet before you procreated or married her. Stalking her just lets everyone else know you're a whiny bitch with issues.

The context of the whole situation is kind of fascinating, I think people have the wrong idea about why Eron Gjoni wrote the expose/leaked all those chat logs.

Zoe was getting a big following among social justice advocate types (as in, tens of thousands of followers on twitter, a lot of which was gathered after she gained exposure for being a "target" of Wizardchan) and Eron was and is also a part of that group, albeit not connected like Zoe is. Callout culture is a big thing for SocJus types, you can find a lot of Tumblrs that are all about warning people that others are dangerous or untrustworthy. And I'm pretty sure that that was the point here, that Eron was warning people that Zoe was a compulsive liar and manipulative hypocrite, and not trustworthy as a spokesperson for an activism that Eron argues she was poor at applying to her own life.

He never intended for this to reach 4chan, reddit, or gamers in general. That's why he posted it on Something Awful, Zoe's home turf forums. He didn't expect it to get all of this attention and later he would compare it to similar callouts that didn't. I don't agree with callout culture for a variety of reasons, but the same people who condemn him have traded in this sort of thing over and over again.

But no matter how you look at he really was a fool to think this would go down in the same way other callouts have. First of all he didn't get the identity hierarchies of his group and really thought that a white man would get away with targeting a woman, especially in ways that bring up sexual behavior. Second, despite knowing exactly who she was friends with he didn't foresee that they would defend her in the media and completely shut him down.

It's kind of funny how guys like him can be really smart but be so lacking in common sense sometimes...

I disagree that this isn't part of the larger Social Justice movement. Just look at college campuses where the American flag and the National Anthem are repeatedly attacked as offensive. The opinion may blame certain Mexican students for creating the problem, but it also grants these students their wish - the American flag is banned, the Mexican flag is okay. If we didn't see the same attacks on American symbols by non-Hispanic progressives I would think it was probably one agenda-driven judge assisting the Reconquista and almost certain to be overturned on appeal. Unfortunately I see all too often that the progressive ideals (all nations are equal - except America which is evil/racist/capitalist, all cultures are equal - except America's which is evil/racist/capitalist) is becoming the new standard. If it went equally both ways then I could accept it is only about safety in schools, but today there is as much disparity against traditional American symbolism as for traditional American symbolism sixty years ago.

Do you think that today we would ever see a ruling that claims school safety as justification for banning the Mexican flag while permitting the American flag survive its first appellate challenge?
