If the memos are real, Trump is going to be coated in diarrhea. Trying to make the case that Comey hatched a grand conspiracy in February by creating false accounts in his memos, then sent these memos forward to other FBI agents, all to try and use them several months later for the conspiracy's climax does not pass the smell test.

That notion versus the memos being accurate and Trump having pushed for these investigations to end, especially given his own statements on firing Comey over Russia and his constant whining about the Russia investigation, leaves the latter idea that they are accurate being the far more likely.

Career public attorney and law enforcement individual's word versus Dump's. If these memos are really out there and Comey confirms it, it's gonna be a shitnado! The shit winds are blowing.

The report is that Trump asked Pence and Sessions to leave the room before making the statement to Comey. That could be interpreted as intentionally eliminating witnesses as he knew the action he was about to take was inappropriate.
