Better form factor, dual cameras.can someone explain why i would want this over an ipad at these prices?
Better form factor, dual cameras.
Plus, since Jobs has declared pixel density more important than screen size...
No idea why T-mo thinks they can sell this at a higher price than Sprint or Verizon though.
Well, exactly. Some people want big, some people want one-hand-grab and/or purse fit.I would say the iPad has a better form factor, but that's a matter of opinion.
I hope that I am wrong that the Galaxy Tab does not have the limitation that I said. On others that I have said is not wrong and they are just opinions, so get over it.There's just not enough time to explain to you how wrong you are on nearly every point you're trying to make.... I agree that the Arcos is a poor device, beyond that, you're just wrong![]()
Dah, I know that. The dude is just wrong BTW, data is data, your phone/tablet doesn't care how it gets it...

This proves my point that marketing is stating that tablets are cellphones or super size smartphones. Though the Logitech Revue also has an issue, but think all these devices that hulu.com have restricted are stated as application devices.I would say the iPad has a better form factor, but that's a matter of opinion. As for pixel density, I would want 300 dpi minimum. Although we may not see this yet as it may require a more powerful CPU to drive such a resolution.
Aside from hardware, I think this is my biggest problem with Tablets.
..
A tablet isn't a damn cellphone, let us enjoy Hulu on tablets already.

its not Apple
Please don't think I'm trolling against Apple. I stand behind everything I have said about tablets: Apple got the jump and will continue to dominate the market. Apple is out there hitting home runs and all the rest are trying to figure out how to build a bat.
Some people just don't like Apple. Some people don't like ATT. Some people think that iPads give you cancer. It doesn't have to be true or even make sense...people are just weird.
in other words, nothing.
as far as real features or benefits? The front facing camera and smaller size.
IMHO, you would have to be silly to buy this thing instead of an iPad. If this were half the price of an iPad, for sure worth thinking about. As it stands....no real reason.

A tablet running a mobile os doesn't make it a phone. If the tablet was 4", then I would say it's a smartphone.
In any case, I won't be owning a tablet anytime soon until real web browsing is available.
What exactly do you consider the "real web"?
Aside from using a mouse and keyboard, I want tablets to browse the web with a desktop browser experience. What I see through my desktop, I want to see the exact thing through a tablet. So far tablets are using "mobile" browsers.
Well the Tab does give you the closest to a real web experience you can get on a "mobile" device. The iPad doesn't but I still don't think the Tab is worth the price. I also don't think the iPad is worth the price they charge either but that's just me.

I dunno, a tablet running an unoptimized OS from a company with a piss poor track record of updates or giving a crap about it's customers makes me leery of the device.
Throw Gingerbread on the device and we'll talk...
Also, when the price drops, I can see a much more compelling argument...
As much as this might be to the chagrin of certain people here, this is the "magic" of Android, isn't it? Just because stock Froyo isn't tablet optimized, doesn't mean the carrier can't customize it to help. According to the Engadget review, several of the stock apps were replaced by Samsung apps to be much more tablet-friendly. Does that mean the OS is fully tablet-optimized? No, but its certainly a step in that direction, isn't it?
