gainward 6800ultra for 399$ **DEAD**

Their other prices aren't all that great...they've got a Gainward 6800NU for $439.99. It's got to be a price mistake.

*edit* granted...I'm still tempted to order one and see what happens...although I did just see this at the bottom of one of their pages: "Prices are subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for typographical errors."
 
Video-in/Video-out. . . say what? LOL, this is the VIVO version--which, amazingly enough, no other vendor is even carrying yet.
 
so if u order this and its the wrong posted price, what happens, they just charge you the rest....sounds like a scam to me if they intentionally post the wrong price knowing well enought that these cards sell for more

Sheesh, for $400...even if you got charged MSRP of $500, that isn't a bad deal, considering NewEgg wants $590 for their eVGA Ultra...

OK, I'll be the sucker.

Tired of waiting for my X800 XT on the Gateway thread. Need. high. end. video. card. now.

Althought my chances are about the same getting this at this price.

What the H*ll. I'll let you know how it turns out (i.e. when this order is cancelled)
 
I went ahead and ordered one. I dont believe they can legally charge your card more without further authorization if (heh, more like when) they change the price. If it falls through they will likely just cancel the order. Worst case scenario they send you a different card, a GT or vanilla and you have to send it back to them. Well, I'll see what happens. Likely they will cancel the order but hey, its worth a shot.


My bank is pretty hardcore about fraud protection so I feel relatively safe. I've scored a couple times on price mistakes on items listed in ATHD, looking for a hat-trick!


Definitely not good prices on anything else there, hell they even shaft you on shipping, $14 ups ground to CA on the card.
 
I'm giving it a try too since my MSI 6800GT with Doom 3 bundle at Buy.com hasn't shipped yet (I ordered it a week ago). This looks like a much better deal anyway. If they try to screw with us (i.e. give us a GT or try to charge us more) I say we all report them to the BBB and of course ResellerRatings. My order total with Ground shipping was $411.99.

I hope those of us who have ordered this get what we ordered.
 
Ok, this doesn't have VIVO. If you look it should read like this Video-In/Video-Out: Video-Out, but it doesn't have the :

Gainward includes the word Ultra on all their cards. They might have gotten the wrong info for the card and listed it wrong.

If this turns out to be the Ultra non-Golden Sample it is the same thing as getting a Golden Sample GT from Gainward. If this somehow happens to be the Ultra Golden Sample, then this would be the best deal for the new graphics cards yet. It would be like getting an Ultra Extreme for the price of a GT.

If this isn't just a mess-up it will be a very nice deal.

They list both part numbers and they match the ULTRAs 2xDVI Gainwards site

Is there a diffrence between standard and golden sample? Do they both have 2xDVI...?
