the blind spots in the car are awful.
is this true for most sports cars ? I drove my mom's Talon and I feel like everytime I change lanes (turning my head also) I'm doing it on faith.

well coupes, i'd say yeah probably. the g35 coupe is pretty bad, i'd say the 350z is even worse (not only is the window smaller, the rear view window is also small). changing lanes in courtesy challenged LA is basically a matter of praying and speeding forwards (especially when people decide to speed up to not let you change, whcih i believe is why no one signals anymore... that way we can surprise people with our changes instead of being forced out of the new lane).

We have the G35 Sedan with the Bose system and it's passable but not great.

Unfortunately it's a real pain in the ass to replace due to the way the AC and radio controls are integrated; you actually have to import Skyline parts from Japan. From what I've seen online you're talking about a few hundred bucks not counting the new HU, speakers, etc.

This may not apply for the coupe but I'm guessing they're pretty much the same in this respect.

I really need to know about the standard sound system. It'll save me about $1400-$1800 if I don't have to get the Bose upgrade.

i guess you changed this topic.

the sound is "ok" with the bose in the g35 sedan. a friend of mine has an 04, its no mark levinson , probably not even as good as the stock TL sound system. i've got a tsx now i'd say the sedan bose is about the same as the stock tsx system. my g35 coupe had the stock system.

the coupe with the stock system, i think its all you need. the bose doesn't sound any better from what i've heard. the problem being that the rear speakers sound sort of odd no matter what because of the slope of the rear windshiled and the location of the speakers. i guess there is some bad acoustics there. its not a bad system though (well the mp3 feature is pretty crappily implemented), i personally think the bose is a big ripoff in the g35 , but you are forced to pay for the upgrade if you want the premium package (if you want nav for example you have to buy premium).
