G35 Coupe Owners: How do you like the standard sound system?

I'm 6'4" and I'm wondering if I'll fit into a G35 coupe. It looks like it has more head and legroom than my current car, a Saturn SC2, so I should be okay.. right?

Edit: If you didn't upgrade to the Bose system, how do you feel about the standard system?

I can't find any within about 60 miles. I'm trying to get an idea about the size before I drive an hour to test drive one.

I'm 6'3 and wanted a g35 coupe or 350z very badly.

I didn't fit. Severly cramped. I simply couldn't not do it.

Ah, well I test drove them extensively and I'm 6' (and didn't have any problems). I imagine you'll be close, but you should be okay.

The sunroof cuts a bit of headroom away from the G35c. If you have to have the platform, the 350Z has a bit more headroom iirc (no sunroof option).

arm length makes a huge difference. If you've got long enough arms, move the seat all the way back and tilt the chair back a little more. The only cars I've ever had problems with were ones that my knees would hit the dash on.

Yeah, that's what I do in my current car. My arms are really long (longer than XL-Tall shirt arms).

I'm 5' 11", and when I drove my friends G35, I slid the sunroof visor back, just so I wouldn't think I would hit my head against it if I happened to jump up an inch or 2.

I'm 6 feet 200 lbs, I fit comfortably in my Z. But I sit back very far from the steering wheel.

I've never understood why a sunroof cuts into headroom. On my Integra the amount of headroom would be the same if there were no sunroof..Can someone explain?

I test drove a few when I thought I was entering my midlife crisis and had plenty of room. I'm a bit shorter at 6' but surely it would be similar to or better than a Saturn room wise. Aren't the specs for both online?

i traded mine , but when i had it it was pretty comfortable. i always had the seat all the way back and that was comfortable leg wise and head wise it was allright (mine didnt have a sunroof, you lose about 2 inches of headroom if you get a sunroof one). i'm 5'11 btw.

i suppose for someone 6'4 you could probably be ok just maybe, but no one will ever be able to sit behind you (whenever someone had to sit behind me , with 4 people in the car, i had to scoot the seat up so much that i was banging my knees on the console). anyways, i suggest you sit in one.

a friend of mine has 350z, and it is more or less the same in every dimension. if there is a nissan dealer nearby you could try that just to approximate

also to the people suggesting putting the seat lower. that probably isnt a good idea, as the blind spots in the car are awful. you'd have to have a really tall torso and imean freakishly tall, to get away with putting it all the way down.

I'm 5'9 and when I drove my cousins G35 I put the seat as low as it could go..

BTW if you're 5'11 and have to put the seat all the way back, what makes you thinks someone 5 inches taller will have a chance?

well it obviously depends on how long their legs are. some people are all leg, some people arent.

I think it's safe to say a person who's 6'4" is going to be quite a bit longer legged than a 5'11 person..

well, i gues we all have different levels of comfort, i'm just saying it from my point of view. he might have a different driving position, and be ok with leaving his knee bent in the car, i have no idea. i would probably suggest not getting the sunroof though, which has the unfortunate consequence of meaning you cant get the premium package which means you cant get the navigation unit. oh yeah infiniti's options system is pretty stupid i might add.

i've got friends who are well honestly overweight and is sort of wide. and unless you are in half decent shape it seems like you might not like the seats either, so the OP should just check out the actual car. people with wide legs may not like the seat control on the seat either, i've heard it makes some peoples legs numb. anyways i'm just trying to help the OP.

anyways a sunroof cuts into head room because that glass has to go somewhere when it opens. plus the cover for it, and the motors and such. in some cars its less of a cut in others more. its generally 1 to 2 inches though.

I'm pretty much all upper body. I only wear pants with a 32" inseam, which doesn't seem that long.

I am a pretty big guy, so I'm not sure how I'll do. I used to be able to fit in my brother's 2000 Eclipse, so I'm hoping that I can make this work somehow too.

is this true for most sports cars ? I drove my mom's Talon and I feel like everytime I change lanes (turning my head also) I'm doing it on faith.
