yeah, this is stretching it.

The guy in front of him, Hu Jintao (I think) shook hands just fine with Angela Merkel, and this is after Germany and China had a tiff over Tibet.

Also, from the video, it seems like Bush isn't too enthused about shaking hands either. If you see his interactions with the other leaders, there's a sense of familiarity about it, while the other guys are acting if they saw each other the first time.

I'm not a Bush fan, but yea this is a pretty lame attempt to make him look worse than he already does.

For the fist time I recall, I think Winnar may be right on this one. It has the look of 'they already greeted the host Bush, and are now greeting others'.

Funny thing is, why does it seem like only the 'left' makes these sort of posts recognizing when the other side is right - as multiple posts above did?

It's one of those accidental videos that's great for humor, but should be presented fairly.

The larger point is right too though that he *deserves* the snubbing that didn't happen.

I didn't make this thread here.....a bunch of the idiot BDS crowd did, blew their orgasm with glee, and got promptly owned by the White House site.

If I'm to the left of Craig on this then I shall withdraw my hastily drawn conclusion :)

Talk about seeing what you want to see...I watch that video and I see Bush walking right past most of those people without even acknowledging them, sure it looked like he noticed a few...

At least Red's link cleared things up, thanks Red!

I nominate this thread for ownage of the year and I nomniate Jonks and Robor as political hacks of the year.

Good job Winnar111.

Oh, and Rick Sanchez is a joke. He should be fired for being such a hack journalist with a piece like this.

Edit : **NOMINATED FOR P&N OWNAGE OF THE YEAR**

Remember a week ago when G20 was on and it was a big deal? What happened with that? I was thinking about this morning. What happened was: nothing.

And it was how I thought it was

I never liked President Bush, but I am glad to see that this was just a spin job. I'd hate for anyone to have been treated that way.

If they were going to snub him they just wouldn't have attended the conference.

Yeah, this is a non-story. I'm no fan of GWB, but even if there was some intentional snub against him, it shows lack of class on their part.

Yet Fox gets slammed here all the time for much less...funny how those double standards work

1. You are nominating someone for hack of the year? Jesus Christ that amusing. Is your head weary from wearing the crown for the last two years?

2. I already conceded the point (something I don't recall ever seeing you do, you generally just disappear from the thread when owned i.e Michelle Obama lobster & caviar story)

3. Make up your mind. I was so proud of your praise I printed this out for my fridge:

Clinton won two large Electoral College victories.

Bush won two narrow Electoral College victories.

Obama won one large Electoral College victory.

I think it's safe to say Americans decided to 'dabble' with giving the GOP the White House, giving Bush two slim victories, but are comfortable giving Democrats DECISIVE victories.

Dude, come on. The Reps held the white house for 12 years before Clinton, and that after divesting the dems of a 4 year incumbent in Carter. Bush 41 won 40 states and 426 EV. And Reagan swept the entire country except Minnesota with 525 EV in 1984, and in 1980 he won 489 EV and 44 states. Clinton's and Obama's victory margins look like nail biters compared to that.

 For not drinking the Kool-Aid that !@#$%^&* seems to have taken a bath in!

not gonna go too far. OP linked a lame/inconsequential Bush-bashing story. it turned out to be false. no one was invested in it. jonks hasn't based his political philosophy upon Bush's handshakes, or lack thereof. the real ownage in P&N comes when ppl's entire stances on REAL issues are torn to shreads... kinda like what regularly happens to winnar111.

It should be a major event. We shouldn't allow media outlets to have a free pass on biased reporting. If Dubya released a story with a bias like this, people couldn't line up fast enough to hammer him over it.

There's a reason why I don't watch CNN, and the video in the first post is part of the reason.

What don't you get about a required photo op and a situation where shaking hands is optional? The photo ops they endured, but when given a choice, they refrained.

The video does make a convincing story.

The video is way too short, and the edit is way too cherry-picked to offer any kind of substance.
