Damn, that's horrible. No idea the OGP was that bad at updates for a 'flagship' phone at the time. The 4.4 update for the G2 is "expected" at the end of March I believe - hopefully they're not abandoning the OGP.
the 4.4.2 rollout started in korea in the first week of feb. sources have indicated end of march for US rollout.G2 hasn't started rolling out 4.4 yet
The OGP is actually at 4.1.2, not 4.2. I bought it because it was $100 for 32GB (expandable), compared to $300 for the Note 3. I'm hoping they'll come out with a 4.4 update along with the new phones. I upgraded mine to CM 10.2, and then upgraded again, and temporarily bricked it. After some sweating, I was able to get it back to it's factory stock condition by using a hacked version of LGs own factory flashing software. Not fun.
So yeah - the hardware is fantastic, but updates have been lacking. For now, I'm just going to wait until the official updates come out. I prefer LGs UI over generic Android.
Yep, you're right. I just checked. LG really needs to step up their software updates. I mean, realistically speaking, I don't really know what I'm missing with the newer updates but, if you want to run with the big boys, you need to have your house in order.
