fzero = HARD...(now w/ update..)

well, i unlocked all vehicles, got to ch. 5 in story mode...(only beat hard mode in ch. 1..can't beat very hard mode in that, which i think is nearly impossible)

my 2 vehicles i made sucks..

i can only beat the first 2 cups in expert class ...and beat diamond cup in novice class easily..pretty sure i can beat it in standard class (haven't tried it yet, will try it after i post)


and i'm not even close to unlocking anything in this game. This game get super too hard.

this dude is absolutely insane...first he has a crazy car w/ crazy parts...those parts are only available when beating the game in super hard mode....and he's doing some weird drifting pattern that is apparently a glitch in the game which allows u to accelerate to insane speeds. He reaches 4000 km/h!!! WTF!!!.. my fastest ever was 3000 and that was by flying only. Other than flying through the air, there's no way i can even reach over 1800 km/h (even with boost).

unlocking all AX stuff is impossible i think...

i have yet to unlock master dificulty..sigh...wtf!


update!...

i unlocked the AX tracks!...beat all grand prix cups in master difficulty...

now to beat story mode in hard mode....

very hard mode in story mode looks impossible......

i beat the first 4 cups using the skull(sonic phantom)..i learned how to drift turn...and using sonic phantom w/ drift turn looked almost like cheating..i beat all master difficulty w/ ease using it...


as for AX cup, since there's a lot of moments where the tracks are wide, i used cpt falcon (blue falcon) and used that cheating snaking method to beat all difficulties w/ ease...lol.
i knw they say use the heaviest vehicle for snaking, but i found falcon to be easiest to snake w/....besides, it was the only way to beat some of the hard mode and even easy modes in the story mode.. ..so i got used to snaking w/ falcon..hehe

2nd update for me!:

i beat ch 1-6 in at least hard mode.

i beat ch. 2, 3, 6 in very hard mode.


ch. 7 is just too frustrating wtf...i can't even beat it in normal mode..not yet at least

anyone else have tips on ch. 7?

I beat all of story mode in at least hard mode (except ch. 7!!! ARG!!)

i unlocked all of the staff ghosts..
I unlocked like 1/4th of the CG endings.... (AX cup and ruby cups are the easiest to get these endings)

damn..i want to unlock everything! must!!! this game is a drug i swear
i had to buy mario kart DD so my aptmates can play w/ me....they don't want to race w/ me in fzero

AX = arcade

GX = gc version


AX tracks and vehicles are only unlockable in GX if u beat everything in the most hardest difficulties...

Yes, fzero is a very hard game. But its NOT impossible!

Ive gotten all the AX tracks, theyre pretty sweet. Took me quite a few tries to beat diamond cup on master, but its far from impossible. The trick is to have a good custom car.

The guy from the video is playing AX, not GX, his car is possibly one of the AX cars. I enjoyed playing through the grand prix, but Im not a big fan of story mode, so I dont think Im going to bother unlocking all the AX cars.

What the guy is doing is called snaking, and he's really, really good at it. It looks easy, but its hard as hell to do, and I have no idea how he's sustaining it for that long without flying into a wall.

Seems like most people agree the Frost Lynx G4 is the best custom car, and I have to agree. Its fast as hell, has a strong body, and doesnt slide easily. It consists of the Aqua Goose, Super Lynx, and the Titan -G4. Trust me, just stick with it. It seems impossible, but it just takes a LOT of practice. Another important thing to realize is that you dont have to win every race. You just have to be on top of the pack. So get good at killing other cars. If you can knock your rival out during the race and place in the top 10, he'll have scored no points, and youll have scored at least 50. So you can come in 10th place in practically every race, and as long as you keep killing your rival, you'll win.

I unlocked the AX tracks, they're quite easy compared to the Emerald and Diamond cups. I finished most every race by racing clean. I beat all but one of the story mode under hard, and I beat two under very hard before moving on to another game. I dominated the GP mode.

You didn't get all the vehicles: you have to beat all the chapters on very hard to get the AX cars. The only ones I haven't beaten on very heard yet are Ch 7 and Ch 9. DAMN YOU CHAPTER 7! I spent hours trying to win the race and it's IMPOSSIBLE!

I beat all 5 cups on all 4 difficulties and I think I have all the parts except for the ones you need to use an AX arcade machine to get.

The best car to use without snaking is the Jewel Bruiser V2 (uses the 3 heaviest parts available), it has A A A stats and is super heavy. Once you learn to how to turn it using airbrakes, you can cut your times by 10+ seconds since it is so amazingly fast.

Its probably just me and my lack of experiance in racing/driving games but;
At first, i found F-Zero GX Very very hard to do. But after a few days it became reasonably easy. Still a challange in places, but no-where near as hard as when i first started playing it. Its just the initial "learning curve" thats hard.
I unlocked the Diamond tracks a week ago, but havnt played on it since. Been playing RS3:Rebel Strike.

how's that game?..it recieved rather bad reviews, but i've played it at EB, it seemd ok, but it seemed like it lacked depth...

IGN was the only place that gave it a thumbs up review...


anyways, viewtiful joe is by far the best single player game i've ever played on the GC...and ranks probably in the top5 single player game i've ever played...

RS3: Rebel Strike is a pretty good game. If you liked RS2 or RS1, then you`ll like RS3 as well. There are loads more vechicles to control, you can control at AT-AT in one mission. And the Jedi StarFighter, complete with seismic charges that rip up asteriods like in EP2. The foot sections are a little week, but they are few and far between.

What vechicle do you all reccommend to do the Diamond Cup with?
I find it pain in the A$$ with any vechicle i try. Even my AAB grade custom craft i struggle with.

both are fast vehicles exceeding 1100 kph

with the exception of the last course, there's a lot of straightaways in diamond cup.

in diamond...speed is the most important thing..and get a car w/ bad grip. a good grip in diamond = lose
