Entertain me as to why an asian would have a miserable life as a generalization. Meaning to what I said was the fact that *the g word* have a harder time putting up with the pressures of the real world.

"Do unto others as you'd have them do unto to you."

Well, that's a nice sentiment GTAudiophile. I don't think it has a whole lot to do with the OP's post, though there are valid points contained therein.

Sure I love nice pictures of women and I will make it known when they're posted, but I do not go into threads that have NOTHING to do about ANY type of sexuallity, and say, sh!t son, I'm straight. There is becoming a double standard around here, and it's getting pretty sickening.

WHERE is this massive quantity of posts involving homosexuality that rbloedow has made in threads that have nothing to do with sexuality at all?

Once again, an example was provided by Xio.

OK....

From the top:

I see one post by rbloedow... a JOKE.

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=38&threadid=1547180

This thread was started by rbloedow, it does not mean that he is bringing homosexuality into every thread that has nothing to do with homosexuality.

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=38&threadid=1550438

WTF? He was stating his viewpoint... this thread *IS* about sexuality, because you are talking about women and reactions by men toward them.

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=38&threadid=1550608

This has nothing to do with sexuality? Try reading the thread topic next time...

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=38&threadid=1539342

Again, he *started* this thread, and it's predominantly about MySpace, not about homosexuality.

Maybe you're just not used to dealing with it, like we gals are. Heck, you all start threads about T&A and we joke right along with you. Chill out.

I don't think the OP said anything like that, just that rbloedow works his being gay into a lot of his posts. I've noticed it also, but there's so much that lends itself to ignoring, I don't mind adding one more.

And you guys work your being hetero into a lot of your posts. Heck, about 1/3 of the posters have it in their sig in the form of links to chick pics. *shrugs* I just don't see it being an outrageous characteristic of his posting any more than anybody else.

HotChic, what you don't seem to understand is Rbloedow works it into every post. Yes, there are posts about women/girls and pictures. That's where it's "appropriate". Most people don't go into random threads and express their sexuallity.

That is crap...we all make hetero comments in almost ever thread...dude...just give him a break.

Look, when I was a teenager in the 80s, the homos of this nation, in league with the sensationalist media, did everything they could to make sure I didn't care if they were gay or not. Well, guess what? It worked.

I don't fvcking care.

I hate people like you, who seem to think that any mention of one's sexual orientation is too much. You say you don't care, but it's pretty obvious that you do care, and that you will only be happy if gay people never mention anything even remotely pertaining to their sexual orientation. When you say you "don't care", what you really mean is "I don't want to know about it". Which is fine, just as long as you don't expect gay people to accomodate to your homophobia.

He could have said that to RB in another context and no one would have a problem with it. But he didn't, he said it in a particular context which carries a particular set of widely held notions about 'just exactly how miserable gays must be'.

Bad defence, it really doesn't hold water.

Um - every post I make is not about it. I've got 18+ thousand of them, you're more than welcome to go through them and prove yourself wrong.

Look at the few Xio posted above. Everyone of them mentions or implies GAYNESS... Now tell me again, whose wrong.

you're wrong.

five or six posts out of 18000 posts proves sweet fvck all.

I think a lot of gay people don't realize that homosexuality makes people uncomfortable. It makes me uncomfortable. I don't want to see two dudes kissing, yet I don't care if a guy and a girl are kissing. So what. To me, its natural. Just like to gay people, being gay is natural. But since the majority of people are straight, you can either be flamboyant and make everyone feel uncomfortable (and in turn be somewhat of an outcast) or try to keep it to yourself and close friends. It's a fact of life, no matter how unfair.

Take that one guy on Last Comic Standing, for example. All of his material was about being gay, and for some reason people thought it was funny. I seriously wish I could punch that dude in the face. He annoys the hell out of me. I never heard one joke that entire show that didn't have to do with him being gay.

This is not directed at anyone in these forums but just something I wanted to point out since we're on the subject.

I guess I'd have to be gay to understand how life could be easy with everyone poking fun behind my back.

Edit: not as an individual, but knowing my "kind" is not accepted by many.

NO - I don't care because this is not an issue that I need to argue. You've already shown how much of an ass you are, no need for me to intervene.

I hate their character, not the fact that the choose to be homosexual. You point out a flaw in their personality/demeanor, BOOM they fight back with the "Oh your're so narrow-minded and anti-gay".

Give me a break. Cut the crap and just admit you're a fscken asshole. (I am not aiming this towards you, but to the gay community which believes they're so righteous and under attack because of their sexuality)

yeah, but you ARE narrow minded and anti-gay. tho, you're too dumb to see it.

Gay or not, someone that talks about "tapping that hot sexy man's ass" in front of me will make me uncomfortable. Same with "tapping that hot sexy girl's ass". It's rude, we're not 9 years old anymore, and STOP ACTING LIKE THAT. It's not even a 'cultural' thing. You leave high school talking and acting normal but being secretly gay... you arrive at your ultra-liberal college and wake up the next morning acting TOTALLY different. That tells me you do it for attention.

I never talk about having sex, or hitting anything

Have you actually even had gay sex yet. actuall penetration?

Sorry, but thats bvllshit. If you want acceptance and tolerance from me, you've got it. But if you want your sexual or racial or any other personal characteristic to make others have to treat you like you're special, carefully choose their words around you, etc., then too fvcking bad. The world didn't work that way before you came out, and it doesn't work that way after. Gay or not, you're still an adult. Grow up.

You wanna be treated special? Ride the short bus.

Since I can't get my profile to update for some reason, I'll just spew it here.

This seems to be the "G@y Pride Thread."

Being that this IS ATOT, it's also the "I'm not g@y, but I'm protecting the rights of g@y people" thread.

AND, being that this IS ATOT, it's also the "I'm not g@y, nor protecting the rights of those who are g@y, but IF I was a non-g@y protecting the rights of those who ARE g@y, I'd be one of those protecting the rights of those who ARE g@y, threads/..

Get my point?

Here's The Deal According to Mike.

Here at AT, the Real Men (I.E. those that like women, like normal people) get smacked by the feminists, the lesbians and the asexuals, I.E. Brigden. ;) j/k b/c we "objectify" women and their bodies. Blahblahdefkingblah.

The f@gs get ragged on by the heteros, I.E. ME and the rest of the Real Men here at AT, that aren't embarassed to reply "I was looking at your t!ts" when asked by a woman wearing a blouse open to the navel "WTF are you looking at?"

If you come out the closet with your pink, upturned-collar shirt, screaming about Depeche Mode, you're gonna get flamed. DEAL with it, Village People Fan!!!
