90% of the detainees were arrested by "mistake". An American life is no more precious than an Iraqi life. All of you who yell at a mosque being bombed and innocent people getting killed as 'just a part of the war' should stick with your opinion and let this pass.
I totally agree.
You totally agree? 90%? You are going to believe words from the Red Cross who go to see Saddam to make sure he is OK? Come on! Saddam is filled with the devil and I would venture to guess that 100% of those people in there are terrorists. They did not get arrested for j-walking! It amazes me how fast we forget about dead Americans. I pray to God that the liberals do not "win", if that happens we are all dead!

Life no matter who's it is, is precious! You will recover from a embarassment, but is this person going to recover? I think not! Do you really believe this was sane while cutting of this man's head SLOWLY, and praising God while doing it? This was done because of the prison ordeal.
How about this one? What was it for?
Least we forget these 4 Civilians, done by whom? Iraqi citizens.
Four more civilian contractors
Which is more disgusting?
Some religion of peace.

This is the world we live in.
It is so sad that we have the power to make it a world
where all can enjoy, but we wield that power so poorly.
We let our conscience guide us into the abyss and end up with our eyes blindfolded
and our hands tied, and our spirit slain.
A revolution is in order to force a compromise between our conscience and our survival.
Who will lead us there? Vote in November

I think they should do a military sweep thru your neighborhood, and leave no survivors.
Good one, you got me! That is a very well thought out come back! I am suprised though that there was no name calling. Maybe you should try again.
The problem is we invade Iraq, kill innocent civilans and claim that were there to liberate them. Then we have the nerve to claim the high moral ground that we treat all prisoners with decency. Bullsh*t! Were just as bad as they are.
Also.. put yourself in their shoes. If I was a young Muslim I'd have a bullet for ever American that came my way.

I am not trying to lessen the impact of the beheading.. in any way shape or form.. If those men are caught I hope they incinerate them with shredded Korans as fuel...
BUT.. what I am saying is WE have killed 10,000 PLUS Iraqi civilians in the past year alone..

Everybody is ranting about dead americans, dead americans. But like ANONMOUSEUSER said "An American life is no more precious than an Iraqi life." And I agree 100% to that. I agree with you on your opinion about Saddam. However, not everyone in that country is "filled with the devil" and It seems that an Iraqi life is nothing more Americans than another trophie.

BAGHDAD ? Evidence is mounting to suggest that between 5,000 and 10,000 Iraqi civilians may have died during the recent war, according to researchers involved in independent surveys of the country.

Yep.
In any case, can you tell me how you expect to get uninflated numbers?
Who is reporting the numbers?
And the biggest question, how do you differentiate between a civilian and a combatant when shortly after the invasion began, the majority of resistance came from Iraqi's in civilian clothing? How many Iraqi's have been killed since the initial invasion? None of them have been wearing military uniforms but I would guess that the vast majority were armed and firing at us when they were killed.
How do you classify those people who worked for Saddam and were killed while they were at military or government compounds? Do they count as civilians?
And how do you separate the civilians who were killed by enemy forces? Or do you just blame those on the coalition no matter who was actually responsible.
I don't know what the number is. I'm obviously not there and have no way of knowing for sure. But it is my opinion that the numbers being thrown around are vastly inflated. The coalition has taken extreme measures to avoid civilian deaths. Even though it vastly increases the danger to coalition troops, there have been numerous cases where we have refused to return fire because civilians are in danger.
If we didn't care about hurting civilians, there are several cities that would have been bombed to hell already.
