I am confused.. Haven't 10,000 plus Iraqi civilians been killed by the 90% American coalition in the past year?

I am not trying to lessen the impact of the beheading.. in any way shape or form.. If those men are caught I hope they incinerate them with shredded Korans as fuel...

BUT.. what I am saying is WE have killed 10,000 PLUS Iraqi civilians in the past year alone..

Yes, you are indeed confused if you actually believe the numbers at that website.

What website?

I am pretty sure that he was talking about this one

http://iraqbodycount.net/

Yep.
In any case, can you tell me how you expect to get uninflated numbers?
Who is reporting the numbers?

And the biggest question, how do you differentiate between a civilian and a combatant when shortly after the invasion began, the majority of resistance came from Iraqi's in civilian clothing? How many Iraqi's have been killed since the initial invasion? None of them have been wearing military uniforms but I would guess that the vast majority were armed and firing at us when they were killed.

How do you classify those people who worked for Saddam and were killed while they were at military or government compounds? Do they count as civilians?

And how do you separate the civilians who were killed by enemy forces? Or do you just blame those on the coalition no matter who was actually responsible.

I don't know what the number is. I'm obviously not there and have no way of knowing for sure. But it is my opinion that the numbers being thrown around are vastly inflated. The coalition has taken extreme measures to avoid civilian deaths. Even though it vastly increases the danger to coalition troops, there have been numerous cases where we have refused to return fire because civilians are in danger.

If we didn't care about hurting civilians, there are several cities that would have been bombed to hell already.

Several cities WERE bomed to hell during "shock and awe", you know, the stuff you jerked off to on FOX news, cheering while people were dying, that was when most of the Iraqi casualties happened.

The numbers are reported by red cross workers, but i guess unless Bush confirms them they are inflated to you.[/quote]

Nice of you not to answer any of my questions regarding how you differentiate between civilians and combatants. I told you it was my opinion and I told you why I have that opinion, which has nothing to do with liberals or conservatives.

But I guess as long as they are damaging to Bush, you will gladly accept them as fact without responding at all to my points on why I question the accuracy.

No, they actually weren't bombed to hell. Specific military and government sites were hit with weapons programmed to strike within a few meters of a particular target. By bombed to hell, I meant random carpet bombing of an entire city until it is leveled. Of course some civilians were killed. I never said they weren't.
