I live coastal so most of the time that breeze off the ocean is nice, however; I keep my windows closed because even a block or two from the beach = dust.
Did you miss the part where my non-pansy-ass has no insulation, AC or in fact doors/windows to keep the 110F out? If you think setting the thermostat at 85 degrees is the solution, I question your definition of pansies, sir. Question. It. Deeply!Im in AZ moved from San Diego, you guys are pansies not able to put up with 110 degrees F - drink lots of water and skeep the theromostat at 85 degree

It's the cost of doing business.Jeez, 72? You are saving so much money not trying to run your temp that low when it is super hot outside.
Yep, Sacramento area.At least it's a dry heat. Say, you don't live in the central valley do you? That would suck.

Isn't there a ton of body heat down there?

i have no clue on how to fix the big fan outside nor the tools to evacuate and impregnate it with the gas.
It was 110F yesterday here. We are still lacking amenities like insulation, some of our doors/windows, etc. So it was 110F inside the house as well.
I'm glad the temp is back down to about 80 today.
