Went to a wedding in Sacramento this weekend where it was 110. It actually didnt feel all that hot. Back in SJ it was 85 and perfectly nice.

I live coastal so most of the time that breeze off the ocean is nice, however; I keep my windows closed because even a block or two from the beach = dust.

seriously?!?!??? from the beach!!! try arizona thats some real dust for ya, california beaches have nothing comparatively speaking...

Did you miss the part where my non-pansy-ass has no insulation, AC or in fact doors/windows to keep the 110F out? If you think setting the thermostat at 85 degrees is the solution, I question your definition of pansies, sir. Question. It. Deeply!

lol drinking water is not going to do anything about the excessive sweating and being super sticky and uncomfortable. Which is the #1 thing that makes the heat so bad.

And who sets the AC at 85? I don't even set the heat that high in winter. Bring that shit down to like 72. :p

Jeez, 72? You are saving so much money not trying to run your temp that low when it is super hot outside.

At least it's a dry heat. Say, you don't live in the central valley do you? That would suck.

i have no clue on how to fix the big fan outside nor the tools to evacuate and impregnate it with the gas.

I do, but you can't just go and buy freon, you need a license, plus OP's unit is still under warranty, he's smart enough to realize that warranty would be voided if he attempted to repair his own unit..
