What is Jedec?

Edit: Nevermind, I googled it.

Interesting though then why they don't write O.C. next to 1600 of some motherboards.

So even if it says 1600 O.C. that motherboard can handle 1600 MHz, I don't have to necessarily be overclocking anything do I?

It's not overclocking if both the board and RAM support that speed, it's just not an approved speed. The components have been validated at that speed and therefore are running in spec (with their rating, if they don't run in that spec you have a case for a return).

So, it's not really overclocking.
