We just replace or PC's on a 4 year cycle so 25% of the PC's are being replaced every year. So that way Budget's can be accurately forcasted and PC's are being continually refershed. Also we don't have to fight for PC budget every year.

Too long to be funny.

And I would never send something like that to a 500 person company. Makes him look like a total nerd/douche

Depends on the atmosphere at that company. Some places are apparently more up tight than other places. Other places are a lot more fun to work at.

While we all think it, this part is very inappropriate imo.

Also, as the process of PC deployment is a time consuming and resource intensive undertaking, the velocity of new equipment deployment is inversely proportional to the number of Help Desk calls that you pathetic, intellectually-challenged, needy, whiney, cry babies (and you know who you are) make to the IT group. So wise-up people, the more you interrupt us with your inane, idiotic, and mindless requests, the longer it will take for you to get your sleek, new, shiny, fast, multi-core, enough-to-make-your-co-workers-jealous, compute engine. So, before you pick up the phone, consult the attached Help Desk Self-Help flowchart.

Well written and funny, but unless it is a small firm where he knows everyone reasonably well, it seems a little unprofessional.

the company i work for before we got purchased was like around 250 people and we'd get emails like that too, we still do for our local office now.
