Fun with an eBay troll...

Kenazo

Lifer
So I bid on a laptop at eBay and emailed some questions to the guy. Next day I get an email from eBay saying that the auction was cancelled because the account had been hijacked etc. So this guy emails me saying that I can buy the laptop now, but he can only accept Western Union...hmmm does that scream troll or what. So I've been playing him on a bit, having a bit of fun, getting his expectations and greed to a high level.

Sooo does anyone here have any further ideas, I'm pretty much out🙂

tell him you're going to western union right now to wire the money...
then the next day say you couldn't make it but you'll go today..

Try to get him to send the laptop first... hehehe.

Or tell him your are Agent Johnson with the FBI or something.

I like that one.

hehe well I already am saying I *really* want it and am going to send the money....but I'm not sure how to do it🙂 Here's his last email

I got the email. All you have to do is go there at the Western Union place. Being over there is different than calling. It's easyer than you belive, really.

Try it.

Now, tell me! If you want to do it, and you are free right now to go to the WU, I will give you the details about the payment.

Please hurry Paul, I really do not know waht to do.

Thank you

If anyone wants to have some fun:

forever@mynocatee.com is his email address - The Item is #3400321046. It was an HP Pavilion ZE1250 AMD Athlon 1800+ 512MB. Say the eBay sale was over and you were wondering if you could buy it now🙂

I just sent him an email telling him I was going to bid on it, but it was pulled off, and wanted to know if it's still available.

What price have you been negotiating?

How much of a fee does WU charge? If it's not too much I'd actually pay to send him 9 cents and get him all excited. 🙂

Here's the latest email...

Paul,

I am glad that you decided in buying it.

So, as I said, you will have to go to the WU place.

Here is the information you need to send the money to:

- name: Danut Bunea;
- address: Pucioasa, Dambovita, DB 0275;
- country: Romania.

After you have done that, you will have to send me an email with the folowing information:

- sender's name and address;
- MTCN (money transfer control number) as shown on the WU receipt;
- exact amonunt sent ($900 minus half of the fee).

... I need this to be able to verify the transaction.

As soon as I receive this email from you, I will go straight to the UPS and send the laptop. It should arrive at your address in max. 2 days.

Suggestion: On the receipt, you will have to check the "reason" box. You could check the "donation" box, or whatever. They have a problem with "comercial" purposes, so choose another but that, please.

I hope this is enough information.

Waiting for an answer, before you go to the WU.

Regards,
Danut

Donation!!?!! hahahahaha

Too bad Western Union can't wire a sack of dog sh|t!

Oh man you guys are hilarious.

I think we should all ask that guy a million questions about everything (things that people in retail hate) like "How do I send something Western Union?" or "Do I still have to bid with eBay?" or "I live in Alaska and I'm buying the laptop for my brother's aunt's cousin birthday, can you ship there instead and make sure it gets there by Friday?" or "I'm get my paycheck on Tuesdays so can I pay you then? I will offer you another $50 to hold the laptop for me until then."

😀

Tell him you'll be in his area in a few days for a gun and knife convention and ask if you can stop by to pay in person 😀

I'm thinking I'll tell him,

"What you're in Romania!!! Why didn't you say so! I was using my cousin's eBay account to buy, but I actually live here in Bucharest! Well I'll just drop by and pick it up🙂

So no one steal that line!!! It's mine!

Tell him you want to know if he has more that he's like to sell. Turn out your company needs 20 of them.... Get his hopes up, them pop the bubble at the end.

btw: DO NOT let him know that you know he scamming you! That way he'll be waiting for the WU for weeks... months maybe.... just keep telling him you sent it.
