Looking for ideas for a fun to drive, but mature car.
Nice interior.
Stick/auto doesnt matter. Being semi pratical does.
New or used <32k, <30k miles

Examples of what I already looked at

Cars I know wont work:

G37 -(no ffold down rear seat)

mini s- I'm ~6'1 -215, and just dont fit right

camaro - test drove fun. But like one review i read, - How can something that looks so big, be so small on the inside.

Mustang - Its border line, but I rented one for a week, and somehow could not adjust the seat correctly, if it only had a telespocing wheel.

Audi A4 - Steering even worse then the Regal GS, for more money.

Current Cars I'm thinking about -

Regal GS (I found a dealer that is taking a ton of money of)
I just wish it had more steering feel, but outside of that its fast enough, drives very nice, the adjustable supension actually makes a difference, I can see owning it for a while

BMW 135i (used) - One of those cars I love, but worry about owning for a long time.

is350? I havn't driven it yet - But its only auto vs the stick on the Regal.

What else should I look at?

Dodge Challenger? It's reasonably roomy, and has a much bigger trunk than the Mustang. It drives bigger than the Mustang as well though, so maybe that would be a negative for some.

I know what you're saying about the Mustang not having a telescoping wheel. There are other cars without that as well, but like you, somehow in the Mustang it was difficult to get properly adjusted in the car without it. I drove the V-6 model, and other than that small issue, I liked it a lot.

You might want to check out the WRX Limited or the Legacy GT. Lightly used BMW's are in your range but may be a maintenance issue depending on how long you plan to own them.

My Is350 (06') does not have fold down rear seats...fyi, they may have added that on newer models though.

Thanks for that. I looked into and you are right. Theres a pass though. But it might not work for snowboards.

Also thanks to all. There were some great ideas I forgot to look at here.

Out of the cars on my now short list:

135
Pontiac G8 (still need to drive)
Regal Gs - If the deal I'm working on pans out.

The Legacy GT is a step down on the list. I like alot about it, but the interior is a notch below the others.

Subaru Legacy GT

Hyundai Genesis Sedan V6 330HP

If the 135 rear seats folded down I'd consider one.

Instead I'll always go with the 370z when comparing the two

When someone says 'mature' car this means you want to give off a certain impression. In my opinion 1 series and e46 are not what I would consider 'mature' daily driver cars

In my eyes a 1 series is loads more mature then say the WRX.

Its all relative. But I know what you are saying. The 1 series has that irrational love in my head. IE I sat in one at an auto show this weekend, and part of me is like, awesome, The other part is like, this is stupid small for what I what/need in a car.

However the awesome part on the car never goes away.

For giggles I test drove a camaro totally not mature, but has alot of fun going for it. After the short test drive, I was pretty much done with it.

I suspect that if you're worried about whether or not a vehicle has the image of being "mature" or not, you should probably try to care less about image and instead just buy what you like.

The only caveat to this would be if you have children of driving age, or approaching driving age and want to deter hooliganism ;)

The image is for my eyes only. And at this stage of my life, I'm not feeling outrageous.

If I had 32k to spend on a fun/mature car, I would get a gently-used BMW 335i. Twin-turbo goodness, 4 doors, and not 'bloaty' like most cars these days.

Are BMW's really that unreliable? Now granted, they certainly aren't the cheapest vehicles to maintain, but then what German cars are?
