Fun, Mature, Car up to ~32k

Are BMW's really that unreliable? Now granted, they certainly aren't the cheapest vehicles to maintain, but then what German cars are?

IMO the NA bmw motors aren't that bad... A little electrical problem here and there and that's about it.


That turbocharged motor seems to have had more issues than I'd be comfortable dealing with outside of a warranty.... And I own an s54.

If I had 32k to spend on a fun/mature car, I would get a gently-used BMW 335i. Twin-turbo goodness, 4 doors, and not 'bloaty' like most cars these days.

I am actually looking for a 2008-2010 335xi, I think it would be a fun, but very practical car.

My neighbor works for a BMW dealership and his advice when I was car shopping was do NOT own a BMW unless you have a warranty... as soon as it is about to expire, sell it.

When someone says 'mature' car this means you want to give off a certain impression. In my opinion 1 series and e46 are not what I would consider 'mature' daily driver cars

it's the fuel pump you need to worry about with the earlier years of this latest gen. Fortunately they're warrantied to 120k or something because they WILL fail.
