The dodge commercial shows a hemi dodge taking out the titan. Who's lying? I knew thet titan was better anyway.

Yeah, saw that commercial too. But I'll trust Edmunds more than a Dodge commercial.

I agree that the test numbers show the Titan is faster than the Hemi, the F350, whatever.

However, for absolute tough-truck, hauling a bed full of bricks through a construction site or going off roading, I highly doubt the Titan could hold up against a solid-front axle Dodge or Ford with a diesel under the hood.

Seriously. The Titan is big, it's powerful, but it's no real full size, solid axle, pickup truck. 0-60 numbers are not everything.

Its not a comparison for those - a diesel ford/dodge would also beat the sh!t outta the f150 and dodge with hemi.

In the comparison domain - the titan is better.

We all know that a diesel OWNS gas engines when comparing torque.

OK, you're right. I would still take a solid-axle F250/350 with a gas engine over the Titan though. The Titan is a NICE TRUCK, when compared to the base F150/Chevy1500/etc. It's no tough truck though.

True - If money and mileage (mpg) was no issue - i'd go with the new dodge with 600lb torque - wow - simply wow.

I have liked the new Dodges since they got released a few years back and that review still sounds pretty favorable for the Dodge. I really don't think the Nissan 'won' by any sort of a landslide.

Maybe you can't read, let's reiterate:

"The Titan didn't just win this test, it ran away with it. Such a result might seem like an improbable upset, but the numbers speak for themselves. It cleaned up at the test track, had the second lowest sticker price, offered the most desirable features and was every editor's number-one recommended pick. This wasn't the case of an upstart contender putting together a few key assets to slip into first place. No, this was the story of a truck that was built to beat the domestics at their own game and succeeded."

maybe YOU can't read ! 😉

As Babbles said, if you read the whole review, not just the non-sensisical summary, the Dodge and the Nissan were very close, several of the testers preferred the Dodge. Nissan did a good job, but they had the luxury of building to meet the target that Dodge had set.
