Fuji FinePix 1300 (digital camera) $124 clearance at Target B&M

I was picking up some diapers at Target yesterday and strolled by the electronics dept. They had the Fuji FinePix 1300 on clearance for $124 (regular $249). They only had one left so I took the display for another 10% off. I've been looking for a decent and real cheap digital camera and I think this will fit the bill. I called a couple of other Targets in my area (Detroit, MI) and they were all out, so you might have trouble finding one (it is being replaced at Target with the 2300).

Obviously this is a very basic digital camera, so I'm not expecting the best image quality, but it's a lot better than the Samsung SDC80 that was about $50 (after rebate) a few months ago. I tried one of those and ended up just sending it back to Amazon.

Anyone looking for a budget digital camera should buy this, I own the Fuji Finepix 1400 and it's awesome.

How big is this thing? I'd kind of like to have a digicam that I can bring everywhere and not worry about getting it banged up, DC4800s are a bit too expensive to bang up 😉

OuterSquare - That's one of the beautiful things about the Fuji Finepix 1300 is it's small size, here's a great review of the digital camera along with sample pictures. Great for simple family pictures and eBay auctions, I'd get it.

This camera is GREAT . . . and it's not to big. I paid freakin' $250 for it 8 months ago (but the promo included a 32 MB Smartmedia card). If you can find this camera, BUY IT!!!

Thx Rossman!

No prob, if your local Target has this on clearance I would buy it. Next to the Kodak DC4800 this camera will give you a lot of bang for your buck.

Rossman, thanks for the link to the review, it really sums it up well. This is a good, basic digicam. One thing that review had wrong was the lack of brightness adjust for the LCD. You can adjust the brightness by holding down the DISP button for at least 2 sec., then using the 4-way selector.

<< For $50 more you could buy the Olympus D-460, is it worth the extra $50 though? >>

uhh...it's hard to say..both digicams are great...I like the design of the D-460 Zoom better, but a Fuji 1300 for that price is hot and I will grab the Fuji this time with no doubt.

Btw Ross: where you find the D-460 for 174? after rebate or something?

I picked one of these up a month ago at Target on clearance. It was $174 at the time. The pics are pretty good and battery life is excellent.

Some stores still have all 4 digi cams (Sony Mavica, Sony Cybershot, Olympus 360, and the Fuji 1300) that went clearance at the same time. They've been 50% off for about 3 weeks already. The longer they sit in the store, the more likely they are to drop in price again.

I didn't post it in any of my previous Target threads in hopes it would drop to 75%. I guess if I decide I want one I may have to break down and pay 50% off since the cats out of the bag!

The Olympus 460 isn't 50% off everywhere yet. It's only 30% off at the stores near me. And let us not forget the Toshiba is also on clearance. It was in the sales flyer a few weeks ago. That one will continue to drop too.

ROSS!!!!!! we own almost the same product.. omg first camera's then.. lol

We have the FinePix 2400... to be honest, I am not thrilled with it. I am very disappointed they left out a TV out on it. That was very lame of them, since all the internals for it would be right there, just give us the damn port.

I have also had a lil bit f a problem getting used to it's menu system, and mind you our last digital camera was a Fuji as well.

Still, it is a very nice camera, and takes awesome pictures.

wyst - But the major difference between your Fuji and mine is I only paid $50 from Amazon 🙂

$299 Fuji Finepix 1400
-$150 MCI Amazon GC
-$50 off $200 Camera coupon
-$50 Fuji rebate
==========================================
$50 🙂

I was able to find displays of both the Fiji Finepix and the Olympus 460 but the freakin manager wouldn't sell it to me. He said something about having to wait for the buyers to specifically tell him that the cameras are discontinued. I then asked if he could notify me when he gets word and he straight up said "no." Oh well...
