I just saw a ad for BB Sunday and they have the 50 pack Fuji DVD + or - for $19.99 out the door after instant rebate. Just a heads up for you

Yes the Fuji's I looked at today at BB were made in Japan but cannot remember if they were + or -.

I was just at BB Saturday and there were about 25 of the Fuji DVD - and only 3 were made in Japan the rest were Taiwan . The Japan ones have a different package ( see thread below with images) as they have a hump on the bottom of the cover and the others are straight sided. All of the + were Japan made.

I bought mine today and will get adjustment tomarrow so this way I atleast will have the Japan ones.

They are matte tops I beleive from what I can see through the plastic.

Fuji, Sony and TDK deals are frequent in stores like BB, CompUSA and CC. All of those are good media (TYs) as long as they are made in Japan.

At BB, keep your eyes open to price tags on the shelves. Individual stores sometimes have local unadvertised discounts that might not even exist in another BB store down the road. I wouldn't waste my time driving around trying to catch a deal, but if you are in the store, keep your eyes peeled.

Is this just in the standard weekly ad for next week or for this week? Not sure if you meant last Sunday or this upcoming Sunday.

Download this DVD Identifier and tell us who the manufacturer of those Velocity disks is.

More and more reputable companies are using cheaper disks these days.

I have a couple of spindles of "made in Japan" Fuji/TY DVD-R 8x media, and my Pioneer DVR-108 (16x unit) burns them at 12x. Same DVR-108 burns 8x TY DVD+R at 16x.
