is there a way to highlight the page number you're on better? matbe make it larger or smaller than the others?

im glad to se you fixed the formatting issues with opera and the sidebar is no longer truncated, however thread titles are still truncated

for example i see

FORUMS Forum Issues Technical Forum Issu... FT 3.0 Open Issues

for this thread and

FORUMS Hardware and Technol... SFF, Notebooks, Pre-... PCMCIA Power for External HDD problem

for a random thread in the SFF forum

now this is more of a personal thing but id rather see the whole forum name/subcatagori and then truncate the thread title and not the other way around, but thats just me

there is no DARK theme, where ylou have a Black or Grey background with white text

the currently logged in users really needs to be turned off

placement of Buddies and catagories pannels need to be switched

names for forums and threads need to stop being truncated
can you link a screenshot of the display issues other than the "forum below sidebar" issue?

we've already got the buddies and category list swap and the truncation issue up there. we've asked for a dark, low contrast theme, but i'll make a note of a light on dark theme request.

we're not removing the online users box.

theres a space in IE ad FF where the arrow if pointing

I think this is what he means. The page numbers at the top are uneffected though.
You can also see the forum names are still truncated too.
page button issue

Happens to me with both FF 1.5.0.12 & IE7 using the default theme. Not sure if it happens with other themes.

edit- for what it's worth, i was just in a multi page thread on OT & noticed the page numbers at the bottom were not cut off like in my screenshot. OT seems to be the only place it doesn't happen though after checking a few catagories.

Regarding news that
Clear your cookies... - 06/24/2007
We recently updated our forum software to fix a number of issues. As a result, some users are having problems using Firefox on the forums.

Please update this news to reflect that this is not confined to Firefox and that Internet Explorer is affected as well. I thought the forums were down for two days after both Firefox as well as Internet Explorer 6 were not able to access the forums.

Note that AnandTech cookies on my system were protected from deletion but once I removed them, both IE and Firefox could access the forums.

Also, any way that the buttons could be regular links and not java so we could middle mouse click em for tabs, or would that be asking too much?

what buttons?

Never mind it has already been fixed.
It has? I must be missing something.... at least with the page number buttons.
In multi-page threads i would load the 2nd page while reading the 1st page, and so on. Saves a bit of time being on dial-up.

You're right, but when I went to go look forgot what buttons it was. Yes these were the ones I meant.

I wish to have this added too. Now that the page links are buttons and not links I can no longer view past the first page of any thread when viewing from my T-Mobile MDA.

Menu truncation has been fixed, but...

Top breadcrumb trail still has truncation: http://img47.imageshack.us/my....hnicalforumissuzu8.png

Bottom breadcrumb trail still has truncation:

Category names still have a trailing space inside the link 😉:

Tegeril,

In the past, our web developer has modified FuseTalk to suite our needs or fix our bugs. This voided our support contract with FuseTalk. In part, the move to FT 3.0 was to get us on FuseTalk supported code. We are unable to fix bugs ourselves at this point.

To more directly answer the question, "this" was an update that FuseTalk submitted to us as a patch. They are already working on a second patch to address a second set of less critical errors ... this first patch fixed a lot of behind the scenes issues and admin/mod tools.
Thanks for the info, that clears things up 🙂

IE will not work for me since friday. I have tried 3 different machines and have cleared all history and cookies. FF works fine.

FireFox 2.0.0.4 has stared crashing a lot since the last update. Only seems to happen when I reply (not Quick Reply) to a thread.
SS

Seems to happen 1/5 times I do it.

Preview seems to only work half of the time. You can manually fix the quotes tags, but if you edit the post later, it reverts to the buggered tags and you have to manually fix them all over again.

I was editing a multi-quoted post and got the Oops! error in the preview window. I finally got it to work by eliminating one of the quotes, for which the poster hadn't typed anything, he had just quoted someone.

It is ridiculous that they added new bugs in this latest release. DO THEY NOT TEST ANYTHING!?!?! They should be working on fixing the current bugs, not trying to add new features.

This new quote bug is one of the most annoying we've had so far. It makes the forums look like crap.

it works ... replaces words we have in our list with a string of *

test

fuck shit

Also, when editing posts, it appears the fusetalk tags are replaced with HTML tags.

So what should be open bracket Q close bracket ends up <div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>.
