I have lots of fun but I have a serious problem with procrastination. Its just a diffrent way we get things done. You get things done ahead of time and then slack off the rest of the time. I slack off the entire time and then lose one nights sleep over it. No biggie.

For instance..had a porfolio due today...did it this morning lol.

You better hope your computer doesn't blow up right before you hit the save button.

Did you go into the environmental impacts of a shuttle launch? If not you can print out some maps to illustrate the range of heat and pollution.

Um... wow. And I thought I was screwed because I have to do a major research paper by next Friday.

Mine was on the implementation and integration of a system at my company. See, we had real jobs and our theses had to be related to that job. A thesis without real world practicality or usage is pointless, IMHO.

We had real jobs too, but they wanted to see us do something, not write a paper about something we did.

Now...even though I procrasitnate hardcore I always make sure I can get my stuff done. 16 pages by 4pm atleast in this time zone(eastern) is damn near impossible for a senior thesis. Those things need to be written well...checked over many times, and have sound ideas/research. Good luck buddy.

yeah...you need to spend some time researching the hell out of that stuff even for a freshman research paper

Hey, what's up David?, how are you doing on your classes? well... as long as I remember a freshman research paper, I think they only asked me for like five or six resources. Actually it's not that hard, it can be done in about two to three hours with research included. However, I have never (really ...never) in my life proofread one of my own papers. I finish it, don't read it, turn it in and then wait for my grade. I had a paper that turned out to be 20 pages in the end. It required knowledge about Law and different Federal and State court cases, I ended up with about twenty-five resources and I finished it in two days. Sunday from 11:00 pm to 2:00am and Monday from 7:30 am till noon. I didn't proofread it as usual and I got a 94 on it. This was for an upper divission (400 level) required class for my major (CS). I didn't have an option, I had to procrastinate for that one since I had a CS project that I have been working on for a while.
I really hate procrastinaging, it's not fun and it's very stressful. Nonetheless, working under pressure is great skill to learn while in college and procrastination teaches you that.

Regards

ng

seriously, how the fsck do people screw up this bad? I never had to pull a single all-nighter in college, and never had to finish a paper within even 2 days of the due date, and I still had more fun than I should've.....I just don't get it.

I had to pull one, sophmore year -- and that's because I misunderstood the assignment and did 3x the work necessary -- needless to say, that morning when I turned it in, well, actually I found it hilarious, went home and slept.

tick tock, tick tock

the clock is ticking...

You now have 60 minutes (well, actually less if you have to go and turn it in.)

And it will also make the profressor roll his eyes when he sees the big ass letters.

My Senior year I was working about 65 hrs/week and going to school, had this project due for an English Lit class I'd blown off until the last minute. I remember going to class 2 days before it was due and people were talking about how much work they put into it, how they worked on it all semester. I spent a grand total of about 2 hours on it, it was a critical discussion on this Byron poem that I tried to write with the same cynicism towards him as he wrote about the person the poem referenced. I actually got an A and the professor remarked how well I wrote. Pressure brings out the best in me.
