newegg has the xp2200 oem for $67, making this board $8 if you were going to buy the proc anyway. HOT.

mine is Rev. 8.... that review is waaayy old... that board doesn't use KT266a anymore, now it's a KT333 chipset, I got a similiar fry's combo w/ same board. The board is really stable, but dont OC your ram timings.

can anyone comment whether or not it's worth to upgrade from a 1700xp to a 2200+ xp? am I going to see noticable performance boost? basically i have to buy a chip for someone else. i'd prefer to spend as little as possible but it's probably gonna be 50 or so. i'm thinking maybe spend a little more and get a 2200 with a spare motherboard and put my old cpu in new box.
