Include new gaskets and small shit that always comes up unexpectedly and Im looking at 12,000+ to get the built engine in. That would officially complete my car.

ohh and then I have to budget about 10,000 a year for gas 😛

I've been told there's a simpler, easier, and cheaper way to go fast for $12,000.

Step 1: Buy old Mazda RX-7. Preferably one with a beefy limited-slip differential installed.

Step 2: Sell the current engine (if it works), gearbox, stereo, air conditioner, passenger seat, and other unecessary parts like the thermal/noise insulation. A rollcage is recommended, but not required.

Step 3: Buy a GM LS2 V8 and Tremec TR6060 transmission.

Step 4: Install new suspension, V8, and transmission.

Step 5: Annoy fans of both American muscle and Japanese rice simultaneously with an RX-7 that weighs no more than the original (turbo setups add a lot of weight, and the LS2 is only about 425-450lbs.) but produces 430 horsepower without breaking down all the time.

There's always going to be something cheaper. If you want cheap go get a civic hatch or old bug and mod them.

buy a racebike FTW. a 600cc or 1000cc racebike will outperform 99% of all cars.

I had a race tuned GSXR1000 -- it was fun, but not as fun as this car.

In late cause I was banned but that is way too stock looking. Sleeper I guess?

Stock suspension?

Full on sleeper. the suspension remains unchanged. The modifications have all been on the engine, interior and drivetrain.

I'd remove the fog light decal for a more symmetrical look and put the rear sti badge back on, since you have it on the other three sides of the car. Or if you're going for sleeper debadge it completely, possibly leaving thefront grill badge. I'm not a fan of the double wing, but not really a fan of no wing either lol I'd like to replace my wing with a wrx wing at some point in time.
The stock suspension is good but you could look at adjustable suspension if you ever go to track days or participate in autox. The most important factor here, however, is your tires. A nice suspension won't do anything with tires that aren't made for the road conditions. Looks like you may have the stock tires, which are great summer tires, but are horrible in winter. Being in Ontario with snow in the background you might want to look at some winter or all-season tires.
I'm guessing you've already heard of www.nasioc.com and www.iwsti.com but in case you haven't, those are the two best sites I've found. Nasioc specializes in all things impreza whereas iwsti is mostly an sti oriented site.

needs a little TLC carwash and its good to go 🙂

lol, dont worry, that pic was taken the day after I picked the car up, so it had gone 1000km without a wash - it was washed as soon as the snow cleared up... of course it is now covered in crap again, but thats winter.

Where are you located?

Southern Ontario

Ah, the scenary reminded me of upstate NY

Just the way I like um. People say my car looks like a regular neon without the wing which is good. Less attention from cops/stupid people.

That car must be a damn blast to drive. I bet it launches like a bat out of hell.

You ever drive it off road?

I bloody hope not. Have you seen those tyres?

no kidding. Snow on the ground with those tires. He's smurfing crazy.

just say NO to drops.

plus, he needs the clearance for the snow. RGUN, had any issues plugging the turbo intake with snow? 😉

and most of all, that looks like absolute sex.

and as for the effect you are going for, i would say mission accomplished. Frankly though, i think the scoop delete would draw more attention to the car. I mean personally, i would go "now wait a sec, that car has STi wheels, brakes, and body work, but no hood scoop. that means he is running a FMIC and probably a huge ass turbo." and i would then proceed to follow you. 😀 or try, anyway.

THanks 🙂 yeah I am going to be putting the block off plate back over the fog intake soon. and for those above yes I have winter wheels and tires on.

Not too bad, I was expecting a rice fest but looks decent

It still maintains its rice roots. A little 2.5L 4 cylinder 😛 It doesnt even sound mean anymore (subaru boxer rumble if anyone is familiar... basically the same thing that makes an american V8 sound so good) since I went with equal length headers it sounds straight up rice! (buzz buzz)
