From my new perspective as an educator, I'm frightened by the remarkable inability to write displayed by my students.

The world is full of stupid people, it's a fact of life. Think about how dumb the average person is. Then remember that half the people in the world are even more retarded than that.

Some fobby girl at my work, she's freaking retarded, I have no idea how she graduated college. The other day, she asked me how to spell "Janis/Janice" The fact that she's a fob excuses her inability to spell, but she couldn't understand there was more than one way to spell a name. I went over this with her like five times in a row. Towards the end I lost my patience and I started raising my voice and said, "THERE ARE TWO WAYS, WRITE THIS DOWN, J A N I C E, J A N I S" The guy behind her start laughing his ass off.

Oh yeah and her car is f*cked up beyond all belief. She's missing two lug nuts on two wheels of her car, the other two are missing one. Her car is a rolling disaster waiting to happen. Multiple people at work have told her to fix that sh*t cause it's dangerous. It's been like a month now and the lug nuts are still missing. If one day while driving along, all her wheels fall off and her car flips over and explodes, I can't say she didn't have it coming.

Too many stupid people in the world. It's too bad there's no way to thin the herd and take out the stupid ones.

but writing for an internet forum is completely different from writing a paper for school.

Reviewing and editing what you write is a habit one learns. I review and edit everything I write.

As do I for the most part, but I sometimes relax on AIM due to the frantic nature of conversation. I think it's a good idea to spell check everything and read over it, although I still make mistakes fairly often.

Dang. That's good writing compared to many of the papers my students submit.

We should all be glad for all the stupid people. If they didnt exist, most of us would not have our jobs.
For e.g. tech support (I dont work as tech support and never have either, I am just using it as an example). If stupid people didnt exist, who would the tech support be helping? Stupid people of the world are the reason there exists such a great capitalist economy that the smarter people can take advantage of.
Just be glad there are stupid people. If you eliminated them, then you will drop into the pile of stupid people at one point.
