Friends with benefits is good as long as all parties involved know any possible repurcussions that may occur. Those who are mature enough to involve themselves in such a relationship should go ahead and do the damn thing. I did, no problems...

Last summer, before I got together with my girlfriend, I was sleeping with a Norwegian (university) exchange student - with no strings attatched. Or so I thought.

She was, how you say, er, sexually liberal, and had no problem shagging after the bar on a weekly basis. After the first few times, I laid the rules, telling her it's just sex, no relationship. She agreed. It soon became apparent that she grew attatched, but I once again reminded her of our rules. We carried on shagging for three or four months. She went home to Norway, and while away I hooked up with an amazing chick. I broke the news to Norway and even though I could tell she was miffed, she's was cool.

Oh, the Norwegian broad and I are still good friends. She's probably the funniest woman I know.

"No man can be friends with a woman that he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her."
"So, you're saying that a man can be friends with a woman he finds unattractive?"
"No. You pretty much want to nail them too."

For me, having sex with someone aside from your life partner (married) is having sex with someone beside your life partner, no matter whether you do it while you're in the relationship or before you're in the relationship. This, while it may make no sense to you, makes perfect sense to me, and is my reasoning for not having sex outside of marriage. Even if I don't know my husband yet, having sex with anyone else is "cheating". So no, I don't do the Fw/B thing.

I agree.

Call it on a case-by-case basis. Theoretically as long as everything is spelled out explicitly (just sex; no attachment) there's no harm - only fun.

Of course we all know how useful theories are. Lousy...uh...science. :p

It would be cool, but women seem to get all emotional about the men who pork them on a regular basis. Almost always leads to trouble. If I could find a woman who was down for that and wouldn't get attached, I'd be down for it.

i honestly would rather just be with one person for me entire life, but if some attractive friend came up to me with the proposition, i wouldn't say no. i for one won't be seeking Fw/B out though.

Basic needs? A whole lot of people live just fine without sex or any other form of intimacy (for some time, not their entire life). Now if they have an addiction, that is another problem all togather.
