Sorry to hear about your loss.

Eli, dc, take it outside ladies.

I agree. I appologize.

But when someone says.. "I just lost two friends... I wish I could've converted them...", it makes me want to use a 2x4 in not-so-nice ways and wake them up. That shouldn't have been his first afterthought.

That's all I was trying to say.

Again, I appologize. My words were too harsh for the subject matter at hand. His comment just caught me offguard, that's all.

Carry on.

There's a distinct difference between converting and witnessing. If you can't draw that distinction, maybe your religious opinions are best kept to yourself.

he edited his original post it said he wished hecould have saved them(or something like that)

so you apologize and then state that lmk's vocalization of his faith/beliefs make you want to assault him with a 2x4. good job. speaks volumes about your beliefs.

Huh? No, no.. It shouldn't matter if they were Muslim, Christian or Atheist... the tragedy is that two young people have lost their lives, nothing else. That's all I meant.

I said I was sorry though. I agree that my words were too harsh with the subject matter of this thread, and I probably just shouldn't have said anything. I appologize, and I will happily edit all of my posts to get rid of the bickering in a thread that should be full of consoling, if the others that conversed with me do the same.

Again, his words just caught me offguard. That would be the last thing on my mind if I had just lost two friends. I suppose I could've put it more eloquently than I did. 😛

I formally appologized to LordMagnusKain through PMs, and I appologize to those ruffled feathers in the thread. I didn't mean anything by it. You all just took it and ran because of the sensitive nature of the thread. 😛 But I will display a little more tact in the future. 🙂

Im sorry

What is below is something i heard from a tv show which i wont name, it was about someone that had died, said in a poem like fashion which seems to make it easier to understand death.

"These fates seemed too cruel even for God to allow. Or are the tragic young born again when the world's not looking?
I want to believe so badly, in a truth beyond our own, hidden and obscured from all but the most sensitive eyes.

In the endless procession of souls, in what cannot and will not be destroyed.

I want to believe we are unaware of God's eternal recompense and sadness. That we cannot see his truth. That that which is born still lives and cannot be buried in the cold earth, but only waits to be born again at God's behest. Where in ancient starlight we lay??.. in repose."

I am with Eli on this. As much as I feel bad for his loss, religion has nothing to do with this. He should have kept his religious beliefs to himself.

Sorry for you loss man

🙁

Life has many missed opportunities.

My faith allows me to forgive myself for my failings, as I'm sure yours does, LordMagnusKain.

I'm not a Christian either, but why should he have done that? Why?

LMK- Sorry to hear that.

my condolences.

man, i better watch it when i drive. im only 19, and sometimes i get drowsy behind the seat, especially after eating. so whenever i drive for long distances, i try to not eat, or take a 15-30 minute nap after i eat. I usually always try and take a break every two hours, but, sometimes, well, i do push myself when i drive.

Agreed. All those babbling that Christians need to keep their beliefs to themselves need to practice what they preach.

OP, I'm sorry for your loss. Even though I'm struggling in my [lack of] faith, I'll keep you and their families in my prayers.

The lesson: don't sleep and drive.
yes.. no matter how yong and imortal you feel, if your sleepy pull over and sleep in the car, damit.

to paraphraze Jesus: "how can I forgive you if you do not forgive yourself?"

thank you, thank you all;

🙁 sleeping at the wheel...could have been prevented 🙁

i would hope that since they were together, they couldve kept each other up. 🙁

I know how you feel and I'm sorry to hear about your loss. My 17 year old cousin died in a car accident in April, she was supposed to graduate this month and didn't even get to go to prom, it's sad when people go so young not having experienced anything🙁

I had a fear of this when my brother and his friend drove from NY to San Diego all of last week... it can happen too easily...

I'm sorry for your loss.

Please remember that God is our judge, and please pray for your friends, for I feel that it won't be for naught. We, as mortals on Earth, can theorize what God's judgement may be, but we cannot know. I believe that if they were good people, you'll find that their souls were saved when your fateful day comes.

For all the crazy sleepy drivers, if you do start to feel tired, please pull over and rest. If there's no rest stop or gas station at the next exit, just do what the truckers do: They'll pull off at an exit, but then go straight toward the corresponding entrance ramp, pull to the right, and rest at the top of the ramp. If there's a no parking sign there, f--k it. This is an emergency. Get a little rest before you continue toward the next rest stop or motel.

If you've really pushed yourself too far, and even after all the tricks, like cranking the radio and opening the window, you wonder whether you can make it to the next exit, don't even try. Please! Pull far over to the side to rest for ten or fifteen minutes, if possible with only two wheels on the pavement and two wheels in the grass (for safety). If the highway patrol stops by, they'll understand if you tell them that you needed to stop because you were falling asleep, especially in the middle of the night, because that is an emergency. (Just don't leave your Dugout sitting on your lap, all you stoners!)
