sorry for your loss. :(

what does your comment mean?
It means he's a short-sighted asshole who projects his religious beliefs on other people, that's what it means.
yep, that's what it means.

edit *after thinking*:

Actualy it means that i wish i had been a better human. but i suppose we're both right.. depending on your perspective.

Sorry.. I didn't mean to sound overly harsh, but WTH do you expect when you inject such a comment into a thread where we're supposed to be giving condolences? Maybe my comment was out of line, but then so was yours.

Their faith has no bearing on.. anything. You need to be concerned with your life, not theirs. Whether they were Christian or not has no bearing on how good of people they were, or anything like that. All that matters is that two young people are dead before their time. That's the tragedy here, not that they weren't "saved".

Maybe it was, as I recant in the post above yours, but his comment made me angry.

If they were Muslims or Jews, should we feel any different about the whole situation? Religion should never have entered this thread.

it's LordMagnusKain's thread, and he can enter religion into it if he wishes.
maybe you should never have entered this thread.

I appologize to both the posters in this thread and LordMagnusKain. My comments were insensitive given the subject matter of this thread, and I am sorry.

That's terrible, LMK. How hard it must be to lose two friends at the same time. You have my sincere condolences.

I was no more out of line than he was. He shouldn't have injected his religious beliefs into this thread.

It's HIS thread. It's no secret that LordMagnusKain is a religious kinda person.

So who pissed in your Cheerios, ass? Did he start this thread as an attempt to convert anybody, much less you? Noooooooo. He's deeply grieved over the loss of his friends and is now expressing regret that he did not witness to them more. Just because you have a problem with a very small percentage of the Christian population doesn't mean you have to troll it like some feminazi that thinks she's being oppressed and disrespected by the entire male population. If you have snide remarks to make about people's choices in life, feel free to make them, just not when they're experiencing sorrow like this. Tact: get some.

I agree. I appologize.

Again, I appologize. My words were too harsh for the subject matter at hand. His comment just caught me offguard, that's all.

Carry on.

I agree. I appologize.

But when someone says.. "I just lost two friends... I wish I could've converted them...", it makes me want to use a 2x4 in not-so-nice ways and wake them up. That shouldn't have been his first afterthought.

That's all I was trying to say.

There's a distinct difference between converting and witnessing. If you can't draw that distinction, maybe your religious opinions are best kept to yourself.
