My friend has the consistent need to argue about everything. His latest argument is about PC gaming, because I just built my own gaming PC.
He says that PC gaming gives an unfair advantage and that gaming shouldn't be played that way. He feels that consoles are better as they offer standardized gaming where everyone has the same performance and nobody really has much of an unfair advantage. He also says that it's not fair for someone who has less money and can't spend it on affording a nicer gaming rig so therefore that person is unequal.
I feel like this is becoming a bit political -- not saying politics should necessarily play a part -- but when he starts bringing in equality and everyone having the same things and the competition being completely fair -- wait, isn't that communism?
My counter argument was that modded controllers give an advantage. He says that a slower PC doesn't stand nearly as much of a chance against a high-end PC.
This all may be true. I understand what he is saying, but having a nice gaming rig makes it hard for me to sympathize.
TL;DR Friend thinks PC gaming is unfair versus console gaming because PC gaming is very customizable and therefore allows one player to have an advantage over the other.
Any counter arguments? I'm sure this has gotten at least a few of you fired up.
