I'm irritated and I'm gonna vent this out.....

1. 1. Why do kids think its ok to street race in a busy city street? Are you that stupid? Going 60 MPH on a 2 lane road full of traffic, weaving in/out turn lanes and across double yellow lines and oncoming traffic endangers us all. I used to race it up, sure, but NEVER in a populated place. Get some god damn common sense.

1. 2. When I call 911 about item #1, DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE WITH AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE TELLING ME YOU ARE BUSY AND I NEED TO HOLD. @#%$@%@%@%. I'm calling 911. GET SOME MORE OPERATORS for Christ's sake. People can't wait on hold when they are dying, or someone else is dying! Thank god my emergency wasn't life theatening.

1. 3. Michael Mann needs to have his license to produce movies TAKEN AWAY. He produced HEAT, one of my favorite movies, then made that POS "MIAMI VICE" and now he produced "Public Enemies". Damnit, this had an All-Star cast, but ONCE again Michael Mann and his horrible Production Style ruined the entire movie.

1. 4. Holy Balls it's hot here in Seattle. Recording breaking temps all week, 100+ 2 days in a row. Seriously, I live here for a reason, cause of the MILD SUMMERS, HEY SEATTLE, TEXAS called, it wants it's weather back

Maybe if you stopped calling 911 for a NON-emergency they would have more operators available to answer for a REAL emergency.

If the driver had plowed into somebody that required an immediate response... then sure call 911.

Somebody breaking the rules of the road is not an emergency.

They were being total reckless asses! I wish more people would call 911 when that kind of $hit happens. I once called 911 on a car full of gang-banger trash that was throwing beer cans out the window while driving. The 911 operator thanked me and was glad I called & said they would dispatch officers.

The OP complained about being put on hold with 911 when he hardly had an emergency.... simply pointing out the irony of his situation.

2. I'm sorry, but forgetting to include your milkshake in your McDonald's order does not an emergency make.

3. You forgot The Insider as one of Michale Mann's greats. Manhunter was also good, though it does look like his best years are behind him.

4. Annoying weather is certainly rant-worthy. Increases the "crazy" stock of said rant.

OK, well if you aren't going to report reckless driving, then who will? Most cities encourage drivers to report reckless driving, drunk driving, etc to 911. Do you know some other number to call that dispatches police?

If you have a 911 number chances are you have a non-emergency 311 number as well. That's who I would call.
