Mmmm k so people street racing on a busy City street isn't worthy of a 911 call? What about a drunk driver? What about someone shooting at people?

All 3 have the potential to injure or kill people. Grow up.

If the driver had plowed into somebody that required an immediate response... then sure call 911.

Somebody breaking the rules of the road is not an emergency.

They were being total reckless asses! I wish more people would call 911 when that kind of $hit happens. I once called 911 on a car full of gang-banger trash that was throwing beer cans out the window while driving. The 911 operator thanked me and was glad I called & said they would dispatch officers.

 to Mackie2k for doing the right thing!

And when I saw an asshat weaving and driving erraticly on the highway at 4am I took the 10 seconds to dial 0 and ask for the local non emergency line to report him and they thanked me for that. And the emergency line was left open for people who are on fire.

OK, well if you aren't going to report reckless driving, then who will? Most cities encourage drivers to report reckless driving, drunk driving, etc to 911. Do you know some other number to call that dispatches police?

Yes, your local police department's non-emergency line.

do you keep them on speed dial? Or have you memorized such a number for reporting drunken driving and rascally teens? These aren't events where it's useful to wait until you get home to look up this number.

Wow, is it really that hard of a concept? If you live in a major city you can dial 311.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-1-1

If not, dial the operator and ask for the local PD. Simple. In no way do you have to memorize something that you shouldn't already have memorized.

1 and 2 were excellent.
3 tells me you watch too many movies and should go outside.
4 tells me you spend too much time outside and should home & watch movies.
