No. you need Theme Xp or some other windows skinning program to do it

Well, I wouldn't call using themeXP a 3rd-party program (dll), rather a modified native program (dll). You need to search for the sp-1 patched uxtheme (I don't remember where I got mine), and there's certain instructions you have to go through to set it up. I think the file I had was uxtheme_1106.zip, which contained the modified uxtheme dll, instructions and a .bat file to help set things up.

I imagine that the default IE shortcut is some fancy-shancy windows one with different properties than a normal shortcut. Just remove it and then a regular shortcut to c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe (or something like that)

Then it comes up as a shortcut icon..I dont' want the little shortcut arrow in there

I use XP powertoys tweak UI to get rid of shortcut arrows, and do a whole slew of other tweaks and tricks.

Read one post above yours, I posted how to do this.

CrazyDe1 - Check my original post for KoL's website, and go to the Visual Styles Section. It's either in the original or Ports, it's called QuickSilver. There should be a regular version and a think taskbar version.
