Theres no good way to go about it, if they charge in they can possibly piss off more muslims world wide and they will start concentrating their attacks on france. They can also let it ride and hope it stops itself....or actually try to come to a peaceful compromise with the rioters.

I have been thinking about this all day and it seems that there are a few scenerios at this point (I do not see any leadership to even negotiate with at this point as the rioting seems out of control atm)

1. Other minorities in surrounding areas join in and esclate this.

2. The french authorities go nuts and kill people, this could go both ways though with as big as its got. (see 1)

3. They isolate it and let it burn itself out containing the damage. Usually it seems that one group will get tired and run out of places to trash and the riot will peter out. Its when you let it spread to more groups when it can really grow out of control.
