Thanks country2 for the info!!!

Usually I try to check here once or twice a week but I seemed to have missed your post for the past 3 months. Weird. Anywho, will try soon, assuming it works in Win7.

Along those lines, anyplace I can get a list of cool free stuff specifically for Win7?

It has many other flavors:

Cannot delete file: Access is denied
There has been a sharing violation.
The source or destination file may be in use.
The file is in use by another program or user.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

# Unlocker is the solution!

1. Simply right click the folder or file and select Unlocker

2. If the folder or file is locked, a window listing of lockers will appear

3. Simply click Unlock All and you are done!

# Similar programs and why Unlocker is better

Of course I only compare here the unlocking features. Process Explorer and Take Control are very good programs featuring much more things than just unlocking folders. The goal of this list is not really to pretend Unlocker is better but instead to provide a list of all other alternative programs in case you have some difficulties with Unlocker.</blockquote>.

When I check my startup programs in msconfig this continues to open when your computer starts even when you uninstall it. I disabled it but I still don't know how to get rid of it.

If you have removed any portion of unlocker install it again and then use Revo uninstaller to remove it.
When unistalling with Revo choose advanced and then delete any leftover registry keys/program files Revo finds.
I've already tested this and it removes unlocker completely.

Basically a better KMP, built by the same guy (he sold the rights to pandora and left the development)

More streamlined options, less clutter, more lightweight at the cost of some advanced features (but has most frequently used ones intact), no issues with EVR.

This is as good as video playback on windows gets IMO.
