My first post. Try Yahoopops from this website.

It worked for me. I'm now getting my Yahoo email in OE(you can get your email in a total of 10 different email clients). I hope I did OK. I'm not to smart when it comes to computers, and I don't understand what all those icons are above the message text. Maybe someone could "link/hightlight" the URL.
 
Yes GhettoBlaster it can send email. I sent an email using OE from my Yahoo account to my myrealbox account and read it using OE. Thanks GoSharks for linkifieding it.
 
I use my ISP's SMTP server for outgoing mail anyways (allows me to send attachments bigger than 2MB.. I think it allows up to 10MB). Thanks though 😀 I've been using this Eprompter or something since then.. Very hot 😀

Be careful using Outlook Express and Yahoo email. Lately I've been receiving 2 to 4 emails per day that have a virus in them. The email letter size has been between 110k and 150k with most being 127k in size. Also return email headers have been forged or infected computers have been sending out letters.

You cannot get infected if you view your email through the web browser. Should you find such email just click on a link called 'Full Header' and you will probably see this in your information: Return-Path: <rogue0368@worldnet.att.net>

 
So how long do you give these people before they start charging?? or worse, Yahoo gets pissed off and modifies the login system, so the pseudo-POP server can't get in (a la Trillian and AIM)?

one thing about using a different smtp server is that they don't let you use your nick@yahoo.com as the email address. instead, you have to put it in as a reply-to address which I personally dislike.
 
foreign servers actually do not work to send out smtp.. if it did, it would probably do pop as well, but its all disabled
 
oh rockin' free pop3 always rocks, especially if its from a reputable site, like yahoo. some other sites that offer free pop3 usually die out soon after signing up

Trillians' been fixed for months. If this place is any good, hey'll get around it.
 
There are two versions available for download and both are described as being source code. Does this have to be compiled once it is downloaded?
