I can confirm the deal. Tungsten T3 (retail of about 400 dollars). Technically, its my Dad who got it lol, but he doesn't want it so he just gave it to me.

Just got mine yesteday in the mail. The box's sticker was cut and patched over with an ameritrade sticker, but everything was inside.

I noticed the same at the beginning but realized that Ameritrade installed its own "open logo". this must be the reason they open the box.

I used to have lots account with Datek which is a very good company. After it got brought by Ameritrade the rate from $9.99 to $10.99. If you don't trade for few month they double charge you and want you do deposit more money to your account and keep senting e-mail to bug you. I finally left them and went to Scottrade with is a much nice service!

could you please clarify that? that doesn't sound like a very good thing.

I just opened my account so i have not experienced anything like this yet. From the research I did before opening the acct, what I learned was a flat internet trade commission charge of $10.99. The exception will be only when an order is spited and executed in multiple trading days.

Ameritrade does charge a quarterly acct maintenance fee of $15 if 1) your acct has balance less than $2k, and 2) your acct has been opened for more than 6 months, and 3) you made less then 4 trades during the quarter.

To me, that is not bad, especially when comparing with Charles Schwab who has charged me for $30 per trade of 1000 share for many many years.

See here for the commissions

See there for the overall rates and fees

Here is about the quarterly acct maintenance fee matters.

Correct me if I am wrong.
