I got mine today. I signed up twice, but never got anything from my first sign up. If you have haven't got yours in about a month, I would say to sign up again, and be more creative when entering your business info. 😉
 
I was honest when I filled out the page, figured I'd risk it. 🙂

Anyway, I ordered on the first day and yesterday a STUFFED box of samples arrived! (this is to let those still waiting that there is hope)


 
Got mine today, signed up the first day.
Just a small little box of about 10 LEDs since they ran out of the capability boxes. Still really cool even without blue ones 🙁)

Any good sites out there ala Dummie's Guide to Wiring LEDs? So I don't burn my dorm down 😛
 
Cool! I got my capabilities box today. It's loaded with different types of LEDs. Nice purple box too.

Also got a Lumex CDROM with their product catalog.

same here i said what the heck and filled it bt to ceap to pay 33 cents s i faxed it to thier 800 number hopefuly ill get the largerbox
 
Got my cute little purple pack of leds, not many in it, but a form to send away for the full sample kit if I still want it. What I would really like is to see that catalog tho... that didnt come with the leds for some reason.
 
I got the mini pack as well... too bad, I just wanted a blue LED out of this deal. so anyways, I was messing around with them hooking them up to my front panel of the computer to try them... then decided to try plugging them into the bigger energy sockets that are designed for hard drives and cdrom drives and the like.
The orange led turned bright white, and became extremely hot quickly. hehehe very cool, give it a try.
if anyone wants to give me their blue LED pm me hhehe

Still nothing for me....🙁 Hopefully if I fill it out a THIRD time, I'll receive something...perhaps that's just my wishful thinking though... ::Crosses fingers:
 
I just received a package and had a nice letter saying they didn't have the full box and enclosed were some sample led's and a postcard to send in if I wanted the full sample set. However there were no led's in the envelope 🙁
 
elSmoko, you shouldn't hook LED's up directly to a voltage source -- they'll fry pretty quickly typically... try a resistor in series.
 
I got my box o' LEDs a few days ago and was like a kid in a candy store.
Does anyone know what addtitional items I would need to make a laser pointer with that laser diode?

ups stopped by last week and delivered the package, i was soooo excited, HOWEVER all I got was a sh.itload of catalogs...i really want these LEDs to spice up my experimental circuit boards in my electrical engineering classes (labs actually, not classes, duh)...and of course, as a poor college student, i'm not gonna buy it 😉
