How does a restaurant stay in business if they dont charge for food?
Mandatory tips?
If you get $185+ of free food/drink, a more appropriate tip is in the $60 to $80+ range, or double what you'd normally tip.. since, afterall, your shit was free.
Great restaurant idea. We could call it "Just the Tip"
Establishment has to pay them base pay. Tips should help them recover some cost. Why should the waiter benefit more from the free food?

I tip on the quality of the service, and not how much food I ordered.
example - If my wifes glass gets empty, not only do I go to the kitchen and get the refill my self, the server does not get a tip.

Says who? I tip my normal range. You didn't eat the cost of the free food. The owner of the establishment did. Did you do more work because you had to serve free food?
