I got in on this deal last time around. Can I also jump in this time? The one from last time just broke a week ago and I wouldn't mind another one to replace it.

I wouldn't waist your time. If it's this crappy even free is a waist of time.

Maybe your statement just isn't worded well, but the fact that a switch "only let traffic go to the computer it intended to" is a good thing.

I just plugged in one i got quite a while ago under rebate. I've been using it for just a couple of PCs but today i plugged in 6 desktops. I used ports 1-6 and while transfering some 600MB files noticed that the pc using port # 4 was operating at a fraction of the speed of the others. It had a different motherboard with a d-link 10/100 NIC. I moved it's connection to port # 8 and all was well. I guess sometimes some ports come bad.
