um.. I would say that I am/was "frat material" and I would NEVER have joined one.

Then why bear the animosity of "They didn't let me in their club." ? I never had an interest in being in a fraternity, either. No reason for me to be bitter about those who do. Assholes are assholes regardless of lavalieres and club memberships.

Most fraternities are fine.

Most people are looking to fit in somewhere (be it sports, fraternities, or online forums).

Most of the time, the end result of a fraternity is longtime friendships.

Ok. I say ther'es no need to join, but if you want to party, you still don't need to join. Frat parties are like half based on bringing random people in.

That's a goo point. It helps to group together the shallowest of shallows and makes quick work of sorting them out.

Seriously, my gf lives with 2 sorority girls and countless others are there all the time. The sh|t that they say and talk about just makes you want to laugh, cry, and club a baby seal all at the same time.

I don't know a whole lot about them. I'm in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech so if you wanted to we could be counted as a big frat/sorority (we have a few girls). As for sororitys, ah, gathering of hot females...whats wrong with that?

i have many friends that were in frats, fortunately they also happen to be in the 5-10% of people in frats that arnt total pieces of sh!t

i was asked to pledge a certain frat my freshmen year, so i know all about frats and how they work, i did not rush mainly because 90% of the brothers were wasting oxygen by being alive

as an example to this, the certain frat got in trouble with our school a few too many tomes and the National Frat organization the frat came in and did a chapter review and de brotherized all but 4 of the brothers

Psi Chi Omega
Pi Alpha Phi

not the honor frats like HKN where EECS nerds are in, etc.... right?

How exactly are those co-ed pre-med or pre-law or whatever honor frats... still hazing and what not? I'm more familiar with the regular frats that claim "brotherhood" and what not.
