On ATOT you're just going to get a lot of negatively skewed responses. The average ATOTer is decidedly NOT fraternity material.
um.. I would say that I am/was "frat material" and I would NEVER have joined one.

You must goto a small college. Its not uncommon to goto a frat party and see 200 people and every party has different people you see.

You're right I do. You actually nailed it, and I know that skews my view somewhat. It's about 12,000 students situated in the middle of nowhere.

Ok. I say ther'es no need to join, but if you want to party, you still don't need to join. Frat parties are like half based on bringing random people in.
miri: Yes I understand it's great. My friend is making his slaves clean his whole apartment this year, but still. I think it's stupid. I wouldn't be someone's b!tch for a whole semester.

Then why bear the animosity of "They didn't let me in their club." ? I never had an interest in being in a fraternity, either. No reason for me to be bitter about those who do. Assholes are assholes regardless of lavalieres and club memberships.

Depends on the person and the fraternity. Asking this question on ATOT will definately skew your results. ATOT is one of the most closed-minded and judgemental groups I have ever seen.
you're stupid

I wonder how many of those who dislike frats have actually ever been inside of one or tried rushing. It's easy to sit in your dorm and get pushed along through college but remember that the people in fraternities made an effort to walk into a house full of strangers and make new friends. If you want to criticize them for paying for friends, take a look at yourself and how you moved into your dorm and only met the people on your floor because they were near.

I don't know a whole lot about them. I'm in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech so if you wanted to we could be counted as a big frat/sorority (we have a few girls). As for sororitys, ah, gathering of hot females...whats wrong with that?

i have many friends that were in frats, fortunately they also happen to be in the 5-10% of people in frats that arnt total pieces of sh!t
i was asked to pledge a certain frat my freshmen year, so i know all about frats and how they work, i did not rush mainly because 90% of the brothers were wasting oxygen by being alive
as an example to this, the certain frat got in trouble with our school a few too many tomes and the National Frat organization the frat came in and did a chapter review and de brotherized all but 4 of the brothers

Good job on attacking the person and not the arguement.

Having relations with one is akin to russian roulette with the health of your sexual organs, or worse. That's what.
