No, F&F did not start under Bush.

The desperate ones are the lefties posting here in this thread. Seeing how close the polls are they realize that they're only a terrorist attack, stunning economic report or a single personal fuck-up by Obama from a Republican House, Senate and Presidency.
A lot can happen in 47 days, I hope you lefties are saying your pra.... umm .....crossing your fingers that nothing bad happens.
I blame FOX and FOX alone for occupying a perfectly good cable channel that could rather be used for reporting boring but factual news of substance. You know...REAL fair and balanced news.
Well, at least I know where the Goebbels School of Propaganda slithered off to after WWII. My bet was Argentina, but here it is right here in the good 'ol US of A. Thank you Mr. Murdoch. We really needed to have a beacon of blinding accusing light pointing right at you for what you're doing to our country.

You never heard of MSNBC?
Or do you only object to propaganda from the 'other side'?
Fern
I object to lies touted as truth and news
So you're going to stop posting here then.
Its been a bad couple of weeks for Mitt Romney made even worse with the latest Pew poll on issues and battleground state numbers. Decided to turn on Fox and Friends this morning while getting ready for work to see how they would handle it. Here's what I got in about 15 min.
Report exhonerated Eric Holder for blame in Fast and Furious and indicated no coverup.
Fox News spin: Darrell Issa says despite report Holder still to blame (even though program started under Bush.)
Dinesh DeSouza on his hit piece move about Obama
US Postal Service can't balance its books.
Bitching that Obama went on Letterman and doesn't have time to meet with Isreals PM.
No stories on Romney just all Obama hate. It gave me a chuckle.

So here's the latest...
All the Fox News hosts today and any guest they can find all got on the air and read from the same script.
"The MSM is fixing the polls just to favor Obama and the election is really tied".
They are all reading identical talking points while ignoring their own Fox News polls that show the very same thing as all the other polls.
You can't make this stuff up.![]()
If all they do is blame the media then they haven't learned a goshdarn thing...So here's the latest...

The difference between Fox and MSNBC is this.
MSNBC chooses to cover stories that focus on liberal/progressive issues and they make no bones about whose side they are on. Their freaking motto is "think forward" for christ sakes. To my knowledge they are not outright lying or deliberately misstating/misquoting facts and if they do they are the first to issue out a correction. This is a FAR different situation than what we have going on at Fox.
Fox is not purporting to be the conservative viewpoint for America. Fox purports to be fair and balanced but their coverage is anything but. They deliberately lie, misquote, and misstate facts to advance the RNC agenda. There really is no comparison to be made between the two networks in terms of accuracy, MSNBC trumps Fox all day every day.
That is the crux of the whole thing right there.
MSNBC does not claim to be unbiased. Fox claims to be fair and balanced when it could not be farther from the truth.
"Balanced" - Unlike MSNBC, when Fox has a panel or group on a show they have people representing both side of the aisle. Heck, Fox has quite a few 'regulars' from the Left who are on payroll.
Fox admits its perspective if from the right.
I don't "Fair and Balanced" means what you think it does.
"Fair" - When Fox does a segment on someone/something almost every time they make a point of announcing that they have that person or org to make a statement or appear on the show to explain their position etc.
"Balanced" - Unlike MSNBC, when Fox has a panel or group on a show they have people representing both side of the aisle. Heck, Fox has quite a few 'regulars' from the Left who are on payroll.
Edit: I will add that unlike MSNBC, Fox has serious journalists types such as Catherine Herridge. There's nothing inherently wrong with MSNBC not having any but that's because it is a straight up 'editorial/opinion' channel (except when it's showing all those danged prison shows).

Seriously, they are Foxes parody version of progressives. I could use another term for them but it would get real ugly. It's an old southern term. House is the first word.
Beckel holds a B.A. from Wagner College.[2] While in college, he worked for Robert F. Kennedy's presidential campaign in 1968. Early in his career, he joined the U.S. Department of State and became the youngest deputy assistant secretary of state for the Carter administration.[3] Beckel was the campaign manager for Walter Mondale's 1984 presidential campaign. During that campaign he became known as the man who effectively wrapped the Wendy's slogan "Where's the Beef?" around Gary Hart, Mondale's opponent for the Democratic nomination.
