You don't have to be credible to have viewers. A lot of people like being lied to so long as that lie is in line with their viewpoint. It's why I'll go see Pacific Rim when it comes out, giant monsters vs giant robots is a fantasy world I love. The American society that Fox News spouts is a fantasy world that their viewers love. Unfortunately, when I leave the theater after Pacific Rim I won't believe that alien behemoths exist, if only when Fox News was off their viewers would stop believing the fairy tales that is Fox's programming.

Why people like "Reality" shows too.

There is a difference between Fox and Fox News. Not sure why they differentiate between NBC and MSNBC but don't differentiate between Fox and Fox News

As far as I know there is no national news on Fox. Where all other channels surveyed have national programs.

So you have a problem when Fox does it but you are just fine when MSNBC does it.

The dems are middle/right...
Dems are middle left to way left . Have no concept of reality . They think we live in a world they created . Unluckily for them our history hasn't been scewed that much yet. Its like the freaken Obama saying you didn't build this . This is the best the left has to offer. A man who thinks society was built from a hive he is out of his fucking mind . He certainly kept his roots near the tree he crawled out of .

Cable news is right behind local TV news and national network news on the slow, yet inevitable, slide into irrelevance. The only thing that keeping the networks afloat is the old folks still watching this utterly useless programming (from all the outlets).

That Fox is slipping in an environment it should logically dominate by an overwhelming margin should be a signal to the Republicans that they're going to need to be a little more aggressive in adjusting the party's ideology.

They don't get near the viewers Fox does. Which tells me there's way fewer on the left willing to live in that fantasy world. You can't save everyone, you just fight the biggest fires. When MSNBC gets as big, or even near as big, in viewership as Fox and if they are as willing to preach falsehoods in the name of journalism, then I'll go after them more.

Both networks are partisan hacks. CNN is so totally spineless and cost cut that you'd get more information out of having Wolf Blitzer read the dictionary on air 24 hours a day.

Given that there are more Democrats that Republicans; it is to be expected that a conservative news channel would be at a lower number.

Given that there are so many liberal outlets that can not even reach PBS should also be a cause for concern.

If you look at the cross tabs near the bottom, Moderates distrust Fox News 59% to 29%. A higher percentage of moderates trusted all other news stations than distrusted, except for comedy central, which was about even.

Makes me think of The Daily Show when it showed what different cable news networks did reporting on the inauguration. Fox showing things with a right spin, MSNBC with a left spin, and CNN talking about fashion. Jon Stewart's comment to CNN was "so you're saying you've just given up?"

Was Alex Jones the one that told you the 2012 election wouldn't happen?

Because one has an election doesn't mean one actually took place . I don't believe for a second that obamma won . But I don't care to debate the issue . He president for next 4 years or longer thats that. Do I believe in free america NO . I really would rather a BLACK man be head of state when we collaspe, than a white man . Does it make a differance . NO only to a white man . Think of the wonderful jokes after the fall , Loads of laughs . Blacks will than understand how us pollocks feel . LOL

So in other words trying to justify the hate for Fox News,

That's probably the best answer in this thread yet.

Recently fired Sarah Palin and Dick Morrris.

Guess they can't afford to be wrong and lie about the other side at the same time.

Shens! Spidey has been telling us for years that this country is 90% Republican!
