Given that there are more Democrats that Republicans; it is to be expected that a conservative news channel would be at a lower number.

Given that there are so many liberal outlets that can not even reach PBS should also be a cause for concern.

Actually their numbers dropped so the whole "there are more liberals..." shows you don't read well.

Also outside of MSNBC what channels are anywhere near as left as Fox is right wing?

There is a difference between Fox and Fox News. Not sure why they differentiate between NBC and MSNBC but don't differentiate between Fox and Fox News

There is no liberal wing of this country outside of vermont so... You mean the moderate/right outlets? The dems are middle/right...

American progress and PPP can only be taken as serious news sources if you believe that fox news is a serious news source.

If you call fox news, faux news. Then American Progress & PPP are like the Onion.

Democrats think and trust comedy central as a news source.

That should tell you everything you need to know about them.

Thats the problem with them, There are very little democrats who support the Constitution and are good people but the rest are just far too ignorant

I notice that none of the networks poll well except PBS, yet PBS is no ones favorite network.

The one clear disadvantage FOX has is that it is so clearly biased that anyone with a vaguely opposed ideology would find it least favorable while anyone impartial to it has so many other options for their disfavor.

This is for the Week

By David Ford
Feb 5, 2013 1:28pm
“ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” Sees Most Growth Among Evening Newscasts in Overall Viewership – Delivering Largest Audience in Two Years

ABC Newscast Slashes Total Viewing Gap with NBC By Half – Cuts Demo Gap by 38%, Year-to-Year

Plus “World News” Cuts Weekly Total Viewing and Demo Gap with NBC by Double Digits

For the week of January 28, 2013, “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” averaged 8.67 million Total Viewers and a 1.9 rating/7 share/2.24 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. Growing over the previous week (8.26 million and 2.12 million, respectively, on w/o 1/21/13) in Total Viewers (+5%) and Adults 25-54 (+6%) for the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks, drew its most-watched week of the season, while hitting the season’s 2nd-strongest performance in the key adult news demo (week of regular telecasts). In fact, “World News” attracted its largest Total Viewer audience in 2 years – since w/o 2/7/11.

So mainstreer news per night is around 4 million viewers . What you bragging about Sonny

That's because people don't watch cable news to be informed, they watch to be entertained nd have their biases confirmed.

Although I remember many of the ultra right wing people here declaring PBS to be part of the evil librul media conspiracy.

Nice circle jerk, but ratings are king and Fox is right back at the top.

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/02/05/cable-news-ratings-for-monday-february-4-2013/168004/

They damn near have as many viewers as CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, FBN and HLN combined.

You don't have to be credible to have viewers. A lot of people like being lied to so long as that lie is in line with their viewpoint. It's why I'll go see Pacific Rim when it comes out, giant monsters vs giant robots is a fantasy world I love. The American society that Fox News spouts is a fantasy world that their viewers love. Unfortunately, when I leave the theater after Pacific Rim I won't believe that alien behemoths exist, if only when Fox News was off their viewers would stop believing the fairy tales that is Fox's programming.

Studies show they are better informed than Fox viewers. That should tell you everything you need to know about Fox.
