They are not latinos. "Latino" refers to Latin America. Spain, France, and Italy are not in Latin America.

This all is totally nonsensical.

Fox fired the guy because he made an insensitive comment about a "hispanic" person. They didn't want the American hispanic community (predominantly Latino) to be in an uproar.

The beautiful irony of this is that this "hispanic" person is of Spanish (European) descent, which is technically hispanic but realistically has no relation to latinos other than the fact that the Spaniards raped, pillaged, and conquered the indigenous people of the South/Central American region, turning it into a Spanish speaking land.

Way to go, Fox!
