Found my "new" G8 GT

After much searching and quite a bit of haggling back and forth, I found my G8 GT and picked it up today.

I found a '09 Magnetic Grey with 6588 miles, single owner (elderly fella from what I was told) that looked and smelled brand new. I was expecting it to smell like Old Spice or Stetson after knowing an old guy had it.
The stealership had it advertised for 28.9k I went back and forth with them and finally settled on 26k. They would not budge any farther than that. I tried but they weren't going any lower than that. Oh well.
This particular car has the Sports & Premium package and I love it. The ride home was about 92 miles and I averaged 28mpg doing about 75mph the whole way. Not bad for a 364 cu in. engine moving a 2 ton car. AFM does work!

It feels fairly light to move around comapred to the wife's '08 TL-S.

Unfortunately, it's a little too dark for pics right now, so I will get some tomorrow.

Is this a 2009.5 with Bluetooth and I take it no moonroof?

Black or red leather?

No. I checked the VIN and this it a 9L2 (beginning of '09 and not vin 9L3 for the bluetoothers). Black leather. I wasn't fond of the red inserts. No moon roof. It wasn't a deal breaker having one or not.

Congrats! I got my G8 GT around the middle of December and it's great. You'll love it. It's currently garraged though because we have rain/snow happening but I can't wait until I can get it back out again.

I'll post some better pics later. The weather is crappy and I ran out there when the rain stopped for a few minutes.

holy crap. Let me resize them.

Hows the interior feel? I remember sitting in one at a car show and the center console kind of moved about. That kind of disappointed me but it might have just been that car. Otherwise, love it! Saw one just the other day in that color and it looked awesome on the road! Wish I had a decent job right now cause that would definitely be in my driveway!

Congrats! Looks like you got the twin of mine - MGM, Premium & Sport without the sunroof. You even lucked out with not having a dealer installed front plate bracket drilled into the bumper.

The center console feels fine, how ever the dash parts around the steering wheel feel a little loose. I noticed that this morning when adjusting the wheel to a more comfortable position.
Seems like somehting isn't snapped into place. I'll be getting in there later today to check it out.

While the G8 isn't as good as the GTO, it's still a great car. Congrats!

I suppose that depends on your definition of good. It's not as fast, no, unless you're lucky to have grabbed a GXP. I'd prefer a G8 GXP over my GTO any day.

A G8 GT would be a toss up, however.

Congrats on the purchase..definitely a dream car of mine. I fell in love with the Commodore when I spent a half a year in Australia back in 2008.
