Found a new Firebird Formula im lookin at.

95 formula m6. has 102,000 miles black in color ,has p.w. ,p,l. , cruise ,tilt, a/c, t-tops, power ant, power drivers seat, light grey cloth int. has k and n cold air kit, b and m ripper shifter, borla exhaust, new brakes, new perelli tires, hypertech power programmer, 160 stat, nice and fun to drive. 7000.00 o.b.o.

figure ill offer 5500? is that a good offer? or to low you think.

Formula rear
Formula front
Formula Interior
Formula Rear other side
Engine

(dont bother with the first multiple responses they were about a Z28)

But now what do you think about this vehicle? it is close to my home, decent amount of mileage, but not overly expensive, looks clean and ill have to see how it rides etc.

MIKE

i'd offer 6-7k because these cars dont have a very high demand, and if it has a good amount of mileage id go even lower

79k? I'd say that car is maybe worth $5500. The add-ons it has are the basic bare-minimum that anyone does to a Camaro. Most people put a nicer exhaust on it since the stock exhaust always rusts out. And, for cloth seats, that guy is an idiot trying to ask $9900.

I own a modified 97 Z28 that I bought 2 years ago with 50k miles on it.. Mine is the anniversary edition. I paid like $9200.

I had to take it to the shop 4 times now (about $3k).. Don't expect it to be the most reliable car after it's been modified.

you have an LT1, i have an LS1. decent difference in the engine itself.

nothing near me is a Z28 going for under 9 grand anymore this is gay. i know the cars are worth like 8 grand max right now. and it really should be a buyers market, but the sellers are all pulling the no longer made, will be a classic etc.

Foxbody Mustang? Or are you a GM only guy?

The LT1/LS1 are nice motors, but I can't stand the giant dash of those cars...

LT1 is a more reliable engine at higher mileage. Anything >50k on a Camaro is high mileage. LT1 is steel; LS1 is aluminum.

Anyway.. here's some more reasons my car is better:

-Borla catback stainless steel exhaust system
-K/N cold air filter (probby same as yours)
-CSI electric water pump
-Eibach suspension (lowered 1.75")
-17" rims.. forget the brand.. but they're nice
-leather seats
-aftermarket stereo system.. 10" sub, 2 amps, 4 speakers, Sony mp3 cd player
-a few other modifications.. don't feel like going out to my car atm to look

oh ya.. I bought the car 2 years ago.

Dude, be a little patient. That car isn't that great and it's certainly not a deal by any means. You could probby pick up a 98 Trans Am for $7k.

didnt really like the 5.0 mustangs, although i did just find an SVT that is sexy lookin.

pic

1996 Mustang Cobra SVT convertible, Triple black with 123k highway miles. This car is a limited edition model with a SVT build certificate #1676 of 2510 made this year. All options available with the addition of black cobra headlights, K & N filter, Billet shorty antenna, Billet aluminum pedals, MGW (cobra) gripper shifter knob, Wolf car cover and V-force mufflers. $8500.00 OBO, Cleveland,

brxdxn, i dont really like the look of TA's as they almost have to much going for them.

Yeah, well that Cobra is nice, but the 4.6's are more of a PITA to mod and work on. As for reliable, I would say a 5.0 is more reliable than a LT1/LS1 Camaro, but there's always exceptions. I was just trying to feel out if you were interested in anything other than a Z28.

My modded '92 has been my daily driver for almost 13 years....

My girlfriend's daughter has a 98 Camaro....you do realize that these are some of the lowest quality cars on the planet, huh? I'm just speaking from experience with this bodystyle. I hate working on that cheaply made car for any reason. The interiors are pure junk. They have a decent powerplant that makes a great amount of power but in my opinion that doesn't compensate for the low quality everywhere else. Be wary of the rearends in these cars too as they are not up to the challenge of all the power the engine makes if you drive them hard.

im still a kid, i need something thats going to last me. i know both a 5.0 and an lt/ls1 will last for the near future. and the 4.6 will as well. however i dont need to mod it, i have never really been a modder, just one who wants a vehicle that looks good, and yet doesnt cost that much, plus replacement parts are cheap (foreign = neg. on that).

and i really dont like the looks on the 5.0's ive been looking, but the square front end really doesnt do anything for me anyways.

Good luck!

🙂

in my older Z thread, i had found one that hadnt been beaten on and was a good price, but alas it has sold since i havent been home.

9k is a ripoff man...it's being said over and over again.

If you wanted an honest opinion, why did you ask? 🙂
