Appreciate the praise everyone, although I wasn't going to object ;), I personally didn't think this 1 gesture qualified me for being elite. Someday....someday it will come. :)

I didn't manage my time very well yesterday and couldn't ship out the card until today. The family should get it early next week! :)

I don't know how big the school is, but via the pictures I was able to give the principal several pieces of info.

Their last name
How many children they have
1 of their kids just graduated into the 1st grade
1 plays for the football team

Even if it was a huge school, that info alone should have made it easy for her.

Nice, I guess they weren't listed in the phonebook? Anyways, you should give the link to this thread to their family. :)

Well, I only had a last name...no first names of the parents. Not going to go call 50+ strangers in IL. ;)

Very Nice! :)

Who votes for Cheap Arse for Elite!!

Also, let it be known how we all feel good for this cool act. So get out there, smile at people, and give a lending hand whenever given the oportunity. A lady needs help w/ her luggage? An old couple need help getting around town? See a person frustrated and looking @ his smoking car engine or a flat tire on the side of the road?

You can't make good stuff happen automatically, but when an occasion comes up when good can be done, then we should all go for it.

This thread is a great example on how everyone felt really good for seeing people help others.

Great story, very thoughtful and kind. I do believe, what goes around comes around. Your good deed will not go unnoticed. Good job. :)
