it was fun last night. pretty good races with no catastrophic crashes.

Yeah I'm glad the Celica was keeping up with the GTRs. Quik's Audi Quattro was a real surprise too, I bet with a little more work that thing wouldn't be too bad.

Sorry I didn't join in. The wife and I were watching a DVD then we left it paused for close to half an hour. I came back and jumped on BC2.

Next week is my choice but I'll be out of town. Skinnee, you have the week after next. Want to switch?

You were scared. Admit it.

We could but I don't have much in the way of ideas for a pick and will be out of town this weekend and won't have time to figure out in any sort of reasonable amount of time what I want to run. I say we skip on down the line until we find someone who has something in mind. I think tevolo's after me and Quik after that, I'd be fine with either of them jumping up to make a pick if they've got something in mind.

That's fine. We can either knock you and back a week and let one of them go or since I'm the source of the problem we can just skip me...whatever. I'm a team playah.

I finally bought an X360 with Forza and other games.

Finally... I always wanted to race you guys. Before, I used to race in GT5P in PS3, but the community has died down and I wasn't playing my PS3 much.

To make a long story short, here I am. When do you guys usually race? Do you have a schedule or something?

Who's making said decision...someone needs to do so as I won't be there. Or just make a community decision and knock the schedule back a week.

Asking ppl to commit to a choice is hard. Especially for the unmarried folks. I just think its funny you guys wanna do Porshe's on the week Kabob won't be there. That's like a smack to the face.

I vote for choosing a class and you bring your own car. Since can't decide at least decide on a class.

Speaking of porshe's was reading up on a Porshe vs Tesla in motor Trend the other night. Man that was awesome. Tesla only has 1 gear I found that to be so interesting and generates approx 293 lb-ft @ 0 rpm thats funny.

0-60 goes to the Tesla
0-100 goes to the Porsche

Wish forza gets a Tesla. Would be interesting.

Lets race B class, it's not nearly as expensive, there's a ton of choice, and it'll be faster than the Miatas.

Just picked FM3 over my long weekend after looking for a new game for my XBOX360. My first FM title and all I can say is WOW! The level of detail is amazing. I can't believe how much stuff can be adjusted for each car. I've played a good majority of the NFS series but FM3 is a whole different beast.

I'm curious to hear what (if any) driver assists others are using. I'm slowly weening myself off of the driver assists. I disabled auto braking, ABS and suggested driving line last night.

I love the rewind button. One of the problems I am having is braking / powering through corners. Usually I am carrying way to much speed and make a mess of things. Being able to rewind lets gives me a few tries to work on the a specific corner.

Are the cars you guys are racing ones that you have earned? Or can you select cars that you have yet to unlock?

You have to purchase the cars, all of them are actually available to you from the very beginning with enough money. Pro tip: buy or unlock a car, set up a private multiplayer room, choose 7 bots, mid difficulty, and learn the tracks. You don't have to deal with the (sometimes) annoying career mode and you learn to tune your car for varying tracks.

I keep ABS on (which may be your problem with the corners) because you obviously do not get brake pedal feel through a controller, the other two options I have off.

sorry for the no show last night, had a lot of stuff to do after getting a bed bugs treatment yesterday afternoon.

as for assists goes, i have everything off except for the assist brake line and i use the controller. but if you are a MS 360 wheel user i can see you might want to leave the clutch assist on as it is not easy to get used to. but in general i find that the more assist that is off the faster the time it will be.
